UnBELIZEable experience!
We had the best stay at Hidden Haven, it was exactly what we were hoping for and more!
We are adventurers, we love to explore, see as much as we can and take in all the experiences. We only prebooked our first stay on the island and decided we will wing it from there. We found Hidden Haven when we started to look for our second stay and it checked a lot of boxes. Perfect location, center to all the activities and exploring in the area. Nicely situated in the jungle. We traveled with another couple and the cabanas were great to give us each the privacy we needed and the pool and game room gave us a space to gather together and have some fun. Our boys absolutely loved that they could play pool and go for a swim on property. They were never bored and had so much fun! Breakfast was available upon request which was super convenient for the days we had a lot planned and it was situated by the pool with a beautiful jungle view.
We booked our stay March 8-12 but before our departure day came up we were already asking if we could extend our stay for the remaining of our trip! Our cabanas were already booked but they very generously offered for us to stay in their big guest house which was much bigger then we needed but were so greatful that we were going to be able to stay. The best part about Hidden Haven, the hosts Dave and Elaine. They were amazing, always around, very accommodating and super friendly. If you had a concern or needed anything they were on top of it! Thank you so much for making our stay unBELIZEable!! Your hospitality is beyond appreciated. We would go back in a heartbeat
Side notes:
Honorable mention to Thor, (their dog) is super friendly and loves to be pet! He helped make our visit enjoyable as well. He would greet us when we got back from our days adventures.
Jack's shack doesn't currently offer dining as Jack moved but we never had issues finding great places to dine. Ask around, locals will direct you to the best places to eat.
One suggestion is Trey's barn and grill, it's an absolutely MUST for food in the area! They are only open a couple nights a week and sometimes run out of food on the weekends so plan wisely.
Property was tidy. Nice and peaceful, locals usually come by on Sunday so it gets a little busier. Great value for all that you get at an affordable price point!
I'm sure I missed some points I would have liked to share but the important stuff is there.
I have one request if you do visit Hidden Haven and you see the pup on the road on the way in that is tied up to her dog house by a 5ft chain, please toss her a bone, diner scrap, anything. She is such a sweetheart and deserves more than what she is offered in this life.

Not what was expected
Pigeon forge cabin
Hard to park big truck not much space to turn around no privacy at all in hot tube like pictured when booking indicated needed a few minor noticeable repairs floor in bathroom and light in bathroom flickering but didn’t mind the minor repairs but would have like the pictures advertised to have matched the cabin

The best place to relax an have fun jack is the best bartender and the ambiance is incredible the food is amazing swimming p
The best place in belize jack and Thor is the highlight with the food and drinks is amazing definitely recommended for western belize lot of love

Hidden Haven/ Jacks Kitchen
Hidden Haven was a great centralized location for our plans while in Belize. The staff was informative and respectful to me and my Wife.
Our Evenings at Jacks Kitchen were filled with laughs and Awesome food.
The cabana had a rustic appeal, which we found to be very relaxing and gave us a chance to plan our next adventure in Belize.

Best Meals of the Trip
Family run place that is super friendly. The bartender is a professionally trained chef. The drinks are amazing and the meals are even better. Better than a restaurant and they take drop-ins for dining. A mix of American and Belizean favorites.
