Very nice place to stay at in Oaxaca

The hotel is new, small, charming, very clean and only a couple od blocks away from the city center. The owners make you feel at home and are kind and available. On halloween they bought us to a local cemetery to take part to the wonderful celebrations typical of this period in Mexico and they stayed with us the whole evening: a wonderful experience indeed.

NO WATER in entire hotel

This property was fine for a budget hotel, and in an area that was well located and a quick walk to the good parts of Central Oaxaca.
What is unacceptable is that they do not have water available anywhere in the hotel. I got incredibly ill when I was staying here, and at 1am when I desperately needed water, they didn't have a single bottle anywhere on the property they could offer me, and the nearest place was an Oxxo six blocks away. As a woman traveling by myself I didn't feel safe going there so late at night alone, when everything else on the street was shut down.
So if you need a budget place w/o a lot to offer and in a reasonable location, it's completely fine. Just bring lots of water.

Worst experience ever!

This is the first time that something like that happened to me! We booked a room by phone the day before, and we told 2 times that we were going to arrive in the night. When we arrived at the reception they told us that they didn't have any reservation and they left us in the street at 3 in the night! Be careful and if possible avoid this hotel. I travel quite a lot and I never experienced something like that!

Be careful- what you see is not what you get

We intended to stay in this hotel for four nights while in Oaxaca. However we were so shocked when we got there. The hotel was nowhere near the photos posted online in booking engines. It is definitely a lot older. The hotel itself and the room are quite dirty there are mosquitoes everywhere. The bed and pillows are very tough. We were put in the ground floor room close to the reception and we hear everything- from the games the receptionist play in his mobile, street noise, phone calls etc. There is no window. The room smells and feels damp. We did not feel that the premises were secure.
After our arrival we walked around to get dinner and found that there are other much better and cheaper hotels around. At midnight realising we were not able to sleep in this hotel we cancelled our reservation for the following days amd decided to check out that same night. We had to double pay, yes, but the outcome was priceless. The reception was not even surprised that we checked out middle of the night like this has happened before.
If you are planning to book this hotel because it is cheaper, think again. There are other hotels around the same area that would not only be cheaper but much better if you walk in.

Nice, clean and great service

We went for 4 night and everyday was clean. We pay a really nice deal for all the stay and the place is super close to everything so it was really convenient. And we couldn't ask for better service all the people were really helpful and servicing. I'm really thankful with them.
