Very cheap. Acceptable

The bad first: When arriving at the room, the heating was not on and it took several hours to warm up the room. There is also no reception as such, there is a cafeteria downstairs that if you catch it open, great. The cafeteria is nothing special. The rooms are poorly soundproofed and you can hear the neighbors quite a bit.
The good, which is a lot: Absolutely unbeatable price. Spacious room and quite decently equipped. The bathroom is very adequate. The bed is comfortable and for one person it is a good width. If it is for a quick trip like mine, absolutely recommended.

Just fine, if all you need is a good bed

It's a bit expensive for what it is: a well-appointed hostal, nothing more. If you expectservices of any kind, spend a few euros more and stay in an actual hotel (although it's getting difficult to tell what's what these days when booking on travel sites). Great bed. I was tired from a day of travel and would have like nothing better than to be able to flip TV channels for a few hours, but the owner had cheaped out on the remotes. I've spent enough time in Spain to know that all channels, even non-satellite ones, have the option to watch programming in the original language, but you must have a remote capable of switching it. No such luck, and I just didn't feel like watching English programs badly dubbed in Spanish. Hint for the owner: when asked about it, "watch your computer" or "go take a walk" are NOT appropriate responses. The building is fairly typical Spanish construction, meaning you can hear virtually everything that happens in the hallway, adjoining rooms, and the floor above.

Nice and comfortable hostal

We loved our stay at hostal-cafeteria Gran Sol. Very friendly hosts, good location, clean and comfortable room. We had a tasty morning coffee with delicious sponge cake just before we left the hostal. They offer a breakfast if you order it.
The location of the hostal is close to bus station (1km away), close to supermarket and shopping mall. The nearest best restaurant is 4 min walk away. If we had more time we would stay longer.

Good Hotel with a great location

We stayed here to see Torre of Hércules. The Hostel was comfortable, clean and secure. You pick up your keys at the bar, and are escorted to your room. The room is small, but clean and neat. The Hostel is close to the train station, and very close to the bus station, as well as in the center of town and convenient to cafes and restaurants.

Saco de estiércol

No sé si alguna vez habéis pisado una caca de perro... Pues si reservais en este hotel contad que es mejor que os bañeis en una piscina de estiércol... Si queréis arruinar un día de vacaciones, reservad.
Y sí, hasta ahora he dicho reservar porque ha sido lo único que he podido hacer, ya que sin previo aviso ni nada, al llegar al hostal nos lo hemos encontrado cerrado y al llamar al establecimiento me dicen que no piensan abrir...
Entre unas cosas y otras una mañana y parte de la tarde perdidas encontrando otro sitio donde pudiéramos alojarnos en pleno verano.
Repito, prefiero bañarme en una piscina de estiércol a volver a reservar en este establecimiento
