Basic in order, but can be more atmospheric

Good value for money. You pay relatively little for a room that is in good order (good bed, good shower) and a hotel that is centrally located in the city.
The breakfast offer is excellent. We were impressed, because it is quite busy but everything was replenished quickly. Compliments of the service here.
We just thought it was pretty atmosphereless, more of a motel look than a hotel. In the rooms on the road side, you may have noise pollution from road traffic. The pool part is downright small.
I would pay a little more next time and book Royal Torarica nearby (this only saved 20 dollars). That looks a lot more atmospheric.

Nice hotel that makes you feel at home in Paramaribo

Eco Torarica is the little sister of the Torarica Resort and Royal Torarica were I have stayed before. It didn't disappoint me. The personnel is very friendly and makes you feel right at home, more so than in the other, larger, Torarica hotels. The food in the restaurant is delicious. And the beds are very comfortable even though the room is a little bit smaller than in the other hotels. The water pressure in the shower is amazing. I would totally recommend Eco Torarica to people looking for a home away from home on vacation of a business trip. The only downside is the limited amount of parking spaces on the property. I had to park on a muddy field next to the hotel a couple of times. Not nice when you are wearing expensive business shoes with heels.

Great location and Eco concept but payment and room climate challenges

Attractive buildings, very friendly staff, great central but quiet location, great breakfast and restaurant atmosphere.
Guests were not allowed to turn the bedroom air conditioning off and we were often cold, despite it being 27 degC outside; the maid kept taking away the second bedspread that we got from Housekeeping until we hid it in the cupboard. I was asked to pay for our entire two week stay up front, which has never happened to me before. The Reception area was small and often crowded, with a long wait for attention.
We would stay there again, hopefully after the refurbishment of the front bar area has been completed.
