There is also many beautiful historical buildings including the courthouse and Bathurst Gaol which features a large hand-carved sandstone lion at the entrance. At the centre of town there is a large pond where you can feed the ducks and swans as they come out and retreat back again. There is also a bell tower and Carillion side by side at the All Saints Cathedral, the only one in the southern hemisphere.
