Perfect place to stay in Caye Caulker

Very well located near the split but also very quiet. 2 very nice pools, very well maintained hotel. The staff is very nice and takes care of us.
The restaurant is very nice and we eat very well.

Lovely, Quaint El Ben Cabañas!

100%, the El Ben Cabañas staff were very helpful and nice people to tend to your needs. The cabin was nice too, large enough for us three. Just make sure toilet paper tissue are disposed in the bin, not the toilet, to keep the pipes clean. The nice thing about the resort I never got to use was the laundry service, which appears to charge by the clothing but the prices otherwise fine enough. All around, it's a pleasant atmosphere. It was often quiet at the time we traveled there. You can read at the pier like I have.
There are two small swimming pools, mostly well shaded when I was there. Tiny, but it's cool for a swim.
I recall vaguely that there are two water stations, for travelers looking to refill their water bottles and limit single-use of bottles. I wish there were more water stations in our own cabin, but clean water access is genuinely a systemic issue of Belize.
I would recommend it if you're staying in Caye Caulker. You can take the ferry to the Split.
My only complaint is another systemic one. I see some solar panel light setups at the pier, and I hope I see more solar panels at the resort. While the place is genuinely sparer in noisy golf carts than say, San Pedro, they're still noisy and I wish solar-electric, not gassy and smoky, golf carts were available and ubiquitous in Belize. I also think the resort could use slightly more local green plants.

El Ben is a great space with very friendly and helpful staff! Great accessibility to explore the North Side and for trips to the South Side, too. Would definitely recommend & stay there again.

Everything was great just being on the other side of the island is an inconvenience as boats from hotel only run this certain time after they stop you have to figure out your own way back to the hotel
