Rustic

We only stayed one night and our room was clean & comfortable. The staff are all very helpful. It is set back a bit from the river and you can walk down to the river through the grounds to where the boat trips leave.
The food was reasonably priced and ok. The breakfast was good.
You get warthogs and baboons strolling in front of the pool/bar area - very interesting to watch.
This was a nice place to stay at the start of our adventures in Botswana.

The Old House

My fourth time to stay here and I don't plan on looking for any other place to stay in Kasane. The service is always dependable and personable. Friendly, helpful staff. Great location. Boat cruises and game drives available right there. No need to look elsewhere. Comfortable and affordable. Good food in the restaurant, too!

Pleasant Stay, Disappointing Customer Service

Overall, I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The property was nice, the room was comfortable, and most aspects of my stay met my expectations.
Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the service at reception. As a solo traveler, I received a last-minute opportunity upon arrival to join a safari camp tour, which can be difficult to arrange when traveling alone. To participate, I only needed to shift my hotel reservation by two days.
Although the hotel was not fully booked, the receptionist was unwilling to help. I was told that I would need to cancel my existing reservation without any refund and make a completely new booking. This would have meant paying twice for the same stay, which was not a reasonable solution.
As a result, I spent the remaining days at another hotel. It was frustrating that no flexibility or goodwill was shown in a situation that seemed relatively easy to accommodate. This lack of customer service left a disappointing impression and unfortunately overshadowed an otherwise pleasant stay

Family atmosphere with great service and excellent food

Lovely place. The rooms are smallish but very clean. The food served near the river was excellent and the staff was so friendly. We had an amazing boat trip and saw elephants, hippos and crocodiles very nearby, our guide was very knowledgeable. Recommending The Old House heartily
