Good stay at Lynwood. We were on the top floor at the back of the hotel at the end of the hall which was a bit of a slog with the luggage for us. The hotel is charming with well kept parking lot and landscaping. The onsite restaurant with live music was lovely. We stayed here for 2 nights and would stay again.

We were only in town for a night but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Checking in was a pleasant experience and the staff were personable. It was close to everything and very clean and tidy. The room was nicely decorated with interesting pieces and quiet as well. The bed was comfy, everything worked well. My only criticism and it holds true of all hotels/inns etc is that the room coffee isn’t so great. Would definitely stay again.

We loved our stay in Baddeck. It is an amazing small town. Some good restaurants, community theatre, a nightly ceilidh. The Lynwood hotel was fine. The beds were comfortable — not fabulous but reasonable. Amazing water pressure in the shower. No real storage in the bathroom though. A vanity instead of a pedestal sink would have been more useful. Everything was clean. A nice little fridge in the room, a one cup coffee maker that overflowed every time using the coffee ‘bags’ provided, and a microwave. The cleaning staff were very nice and helpful. Parking was easy. Right at our door. The wifi was reliable. Not blazing fast like we have in the city, but perfectly adequate for vacation use. The AC unit was noisy and it was uncharacteristically hot. So it woke me up at intervals through the night. There is a restaurant on site. We had dinner there one night. Again it was fine. Not great and we didn’t go back. The Lynwood worked well for me and my daughter. It was a solid 4 star experience. I felt there were details that could be handled better that would elevate the whole experience. Having said that, I would absolutely stay there again, as long as I could be in the ground floor. No elevator.

Convenient location and lots of character

Nicely located Inn, we stayed in the main Heritage home building which is decorated with unique decor and period furniture. The room is large, clean and quiet, but could use a bit of an update. There are small holes in the drapes (which we only saw when closing them at the end of the day). We needed a comfy chair to relax in, but the rocker, wooden chair and chaise lounge were not that. Bed is a bit firm, but that is not a criticism.
There is a mini fridge, microwave and air conditioning.

Clean room and bathroom. Old-fashioned coffee maker - needs an upgrade. Dining is not available, even though the website said it was available after June 15. (Other dining was available in the town of Baddeck.)
