Amazing. 11/10 experience. Will be back.
I LOVED this hotel. It is beautifully renovated, in a very convenient location near plenty of eating and not a bad walk down to Old Quebec. The restaurant/bar at the hotel is classy and stunning; our room was quiet and just felt like an oasis. Super clean. Sometimes older hotels feel old in a not great way, this one felt old in the best of ways. I also loved the second-floor deck above the restaurant. Everyone was so friendly. I will 100% stay here again if/when we come back to Quebec City. 11/10. Heads up, it is valet parking, and the registration is on the second floor- use the elevator in the restaurant.

My experience at the hotel was terrible. I called and asked for an early check-in and was told my room would be ready at 3pm. I arrived at 2:55pm and was told the room was still being prepared and to wait on the terrace and I'd be notified when ready. At 3:50pm I went back to reception to see a whole bunch of people being sent to their rooms ahead of me. I asked when my room would be ready and was told another 20 minutes! I asked why I was told it would be ready at 3pm and then was made to wait an hour! The gentleman at the front tried to gaslight me and say they only agreed to hold my luggage from 3pm. But that was not the case. The lady I spoke with on the phone specifically said I could have an early check-in at 3pm. After my complaint, I was given a room straight away and was told it was an upgrade on a higher floor with a better view. My 'view' was a tiny window looking directly at a concrete wall with almost no natural light coming in. The bathroom floor was filthy! The car parking situation is terrible. Guests are told to leave the car with flashers but there is a risk of a fine when the valet isn't available yet. My valet guy was very helpful, the only positive of my stay. But my hotel experience was a disgrace. So very far removed from the advertised five star experience. Disorganised, unprofessional. And with such a late check-out time of 4pm, how is it possible rooms are still not ready. The management of this hotel appears to have some very serious problems.

Had a wonderful stay; the room was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and spacious. The staff are amazing, super friendly, and helpful! Recommend to anyone staying in this area of Quebec.

Best Hotel Experience in AGES
I travel a TON for work so I basically live out of a suitcase. I spend more time at hotels than I do at my own home, so I would consider myself pretty well versed in what makes a stay special. The hotel Maurice delivers on all counts and then some.
Hotel is beautifully curated and gorgeous down to the tiniest details. Staff is incredible. Location is ideal for getting around (via walking) to see the main sites of Quebec City without being inundated with people in the tourist heavy spots.
This was my boyfriend and I's first time to Quebec City and could not have been more pleased with the choice to stay at the Hotel Maurice. The staff and hotel itself were such a lovely experience that we often decided to eat there for dinner instead of the reservations we had booked at other various restaurants. The hotel is unique...the rooms are unique....so if you are someone who prefers the more traditional and cookie cutter rooms of a Marriott/Hilton/etc. this is probably not the hotel for you. We stayed in room 304 (video below) and it was exceptional. The rooms are each a little different so if you have specific needs I would recommend paying attention to the specifications of the rooms you book online or calling/emailing the hotel directly to get their advice on which room would suit your ideal experience.
Highly recommend. Will stay at The Maurice again if we ever travel back to QC.

This hotel is beautiful and charming. The location is tough to beat, as we were able to walk to Old Town and the port. We loved sitting on our patio area at night and enjoying a fire as well! The staff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to help us when we needed it. The restaurant was being remodeled while we are there but it looks like it will be amazing once it is done. If we are ever back to Quebec City, we would look to stay here again!
