Om juist in alle rust van de natuurlijke schoonheid van dit gebied te genieten, ga je naar Naikoon Provincial Park. Ga deelnemen aan een ecotour en wandel- en fietsroutes afleggen en zie wat deze omgeving allemaal te bieden heeft. Ontspan op het plaatselijke strand, geniet in de volledig uitgeruste spa van Hekate's Retreat en werk aan je swing op de golfbaan. De huishoudservice is op verzoek beschikbaar. Hekate's Retreat heeft 13 kamers met een haardroger. Alle kamers in dit resort met 3 sterren hebben kitchenettes met een kookplaat, een magnetron en kookgerei, borden en bestek. Elke badkamer is voorzien van een douche. Gasten kunnen gratis gebruik maken van wifi (snelheid: 25+ Mbps). Een schoonmaakservice is op verzoek beschikbaar. I loved staying here. The staff were super friendly and helpful, taking me to and from the airport and generally being super friendly. The fairway cabins are great: clean and with all you need. And very pleasant on the golf course. The hotel has a nice clubhouse and restaurant that I appreciated. Its a very peaceful friendly spot and I would love to return.

Our RV needed better instructions.
Stove, hot shower and heating didn’t work for 1/2 days stay.

This place is lovely! The staff was helpful and the room itself was lovely with a great view. The smell of the air here is almost worth it on its own.

Exceptional, Cozy Cabins!

We decided to have a little weekend getaway @ Hekate’s Retreat – Fairway Cabins. A relatively recent addition to the property, these cabins offer an affordable, contemporary and cozy option for those staying in K’il Kun (Sandspit). The location is ideal – peaceful – and the vibe is exactly what we were looking for: Peaceful.
Located alongside School Road, the Hekate’s Retreat cabins are ideally situated. If you have a vehicle, the area makes for the perfect hub because you’re only about 40 minutes away from the picturesque beaches of Grey Bay; the Kwuna ferry to Graham Island is only 15 minutes away; Sandspit Airport (YZP) is 5 minutes away; and, everything else in Sandspit is practically a stone’s throw away. Even if you don’t have a vehicle, there are numerous attractions and amenities within easy walking distance: In terms of shopping, the excellent SuperValu is approximately 15 minutes away; the Dover Trail, and lesser-known Skyline Trail, is a brisk 35 minute walk; the popular Spit Walk Trail is just over 15 minutes away; and, even if you don’t want to do a lot of walking, the beach is practically at your fingertips! In terms of food, you’ll have ready access to the on-site Clubhouse Restaurant; however, if you want to go elsewhere in Sandspit, the amazing Raincoast Breads is a 5-minute walk down School Road (reservations required); the Smoke & Mirrors food truck is about 20 minutes away; and the exceptional Beaches Restaurant is approximately 25 minutes away (please see my earlier reviews for all of these restaurants on this site). In short, there are plenty of amenities and activities to be had right in K’il Kun. We only wish Dick’s Wok Inn – a local legend – was still open!
As for the accommodations, we absolutely loved our stay in the Fairway Cabins! They were peaceful, clean and modern in look and feel. The bed was comfortable and we had the most amazing sleep! Each cabin has its own private washroom, kitchenette and adorable tiny deck. We spent part of our evening sitting on the deck, overlooking the Willows Golf Course, and enjoying the clear, starry night. We also took time to avail the on-site sauna – such a great way to relax!
For those wishing to “set up base” on Moresby Island, the Fairway Cabins @ Hekate’s Retreat are more than ideal. Beautifully synthesizing a contemporary vibe with the ruggedness of Haida Gwaii, the cabins offer a relaxing space at a price that’s easily affordable. The world-class golf course and excellent restaurant are just an added bonus!
