Excellent hotel

The hotel surpassed our expectations. The staff was welcoming and accomodating from the start.
Our room on the 1rst floor was spacious, clean and quiet.
Superb breakfast with a wide variety of food.
We had several dinners and we enjoyed the dishes each time. ( waiters very friendly).
Bar and lounge very cosy.
The week spent there leaves us with fond memories…

Never again....

We came to this venue for our wedding at Kronborg Castle. It was only a 10 minute car ride away so seemed perfect location. The grounds are pretty but unfortunately the hotel is quite dirty and unsanitary.

Between two and three stars.

The photos displayed on the site show a beautiful building with local architecture that is actually abandoned. The hotel is located behind it. Externally, the building is a bit sad and almost dirty. The interior is spacious and bright, the rooms are poorly equipped: no AC, no bath mats, no minibar, no bottle of water... it is quite basic, a bit like what you find in an Ibis Budget even in the so-called "luxury" category. The hotel is located outside the city, surrounded by vegetation, the breakfast offers a variety of choices, the catering is decent.

There.

A too high set price for a night's stay in the damp-scented dark room that felt shabby with a view of the bushes. The window couldn't have been cleaned in years. 2 lights out of 5 inoperative.
Understaffed staff ( read 1 ) at the bar who toiled but kept their spirits up. We helped to carry away our dishes after finishing the meal.
No comment regarding spa when we did not use it.
Breakfast was perfect.

We stayed one night at Comwell Borupgaard, and overall it was a wonderful experience.
The hotel is very family-friendly and exceptionally clean. It is surrounded by beautiful gardens and trees, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. There are also two outdoor jacuzzis, which were a great addition for relaxation.
The breakfast was outstanding—delicious, fresh, and offering a wide variety of options (+++).
The only downside was that we could not control the air conditioning in our room. We would have preferred a cooler temperature while sleeping.
Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable place to stay near Helsingør.
