Elegance and customer service

I cannot say enough good things about hotel Itza. The rooms were beautiful and well furnished. Nice balcony that opened so you could step outside. What stood out the most to me was the customer service. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Tour suggestions, taxis, anything you need. We had a late evening flight and they let us keep our luggage and continue to use the expansive lobby after check-out. The food and views from the restaurant are phenomenal. This hotel has all the amenities you could possibly need including TVs with DirectTV and streaming services.

Comfortable and stylish, but it’s hiding the fact that some rooms have no windows

The hotel is very comfortable and the personnel is helpful and welcoming. Breakfast is generous, tasty and stylish.
However, guests should be aware that some of the rooms are interior rooms, they have NO WINDOWS! And this is not at all clearly presented during the booking process, the information is misleading and most of the guests have no idea about the claustrophobic room until they check-in. The hotel is using a double language about the reservations. Our reservation was for a “Deluxe Queen”, while their internal system was showing a “Deluxe Queen, interior, no windows”. And this is deceiving.

Amazing boutique Hotel, great staff and unique style. Perfect location, steps from the main square and cathedral. Highly recommend a splurge in getting the presidential suite, massive beautiful room & bathroom. Their roof top restaurant is great as well, we went for Martini and Jazz night. Also, don't miss out on their breakfast, it is delicious (try the local Ecuadorian ones).

The staff upon arrival was welcoming and attentive. The hotel is stunning and well maintained. The room was spacious and very well decorated with high end finishes. The bed was comfortable and the pillow choices were a nice touch. The bathrobes and slippers were appreciated after a nice hot shower with great water pressure.
The rooftop restaurant has great views and food with an attentive staff. The breakfast in the morning in the downstairs restaurant was also great with huge portions.
They even arranged a private car to take us back to Quito and we were very happy with how he drove and the car was very comfortable and clean.
We plan on returning to Cuenca regularly and this will be our go to place to stay.

Excellent choice

Excellent apartment, very comfortable king bed.  Careful staff and fully attended us in all our requests. The staff Alex from the reception very kind and we did two tours with the agency indicated by the hotel itself. The tour guide Sebastian was extremely kind and helpful in the two days of the tour. The excellent location, close to everything to do on foot.  I recommend.
