A great stop after a long day of hiking

I left alone to make the northern part of Stevenson Road and I am very happy to have passed through Le Ponant. I spent a great night in a nice room overlooking the valley and just before bed I was able to share a good meal with other walkers staying at the hotel. We ate at La Renaissance Brewery and everything was very good in addition to being local (caillette, salad, truffle, cold cuts and sweet cottage cheese )
Not to mention the hotel staff who were as Welcoming as they were caring (the lady at the reception was adorable and the gentleman who was preparing breakfast was just as adorable )
I recommend Le Ponant without any reservations!

To avoid.

Breakfast was very good, but the accommodation was unsatisfactory.
Old carpet everywhere.
Room for 2 converted with a folding bed and a sofa for 4 people.
No place to put belongings
Room on a national road with heavy truck traffic
Some outlets do not work

Dinner to escape!

A room on the 3rd floor suitable.A decent breakfast.On the other hand,for lack of cook,the customer is sent to the restaurant Le Renaissance.The manager receives you very badly.Without the slightest courtesy,obligation to share a table with 2 people.A canteen dinner:very little cold cuts,a potato dish,with bacon,smoked ham (supermarket) and a cottage cheese...It's a shame...

Good step on the way to Stevenson

Nice hotel, quite outdated. Room with very nice views of the valley, tiny shower room. Evening meals outside

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel in half board. Very clean, very friendly and helpful staff: thank you.Breakfast Nickel. The catch: we were on the 3rd floor, under the roofs overlooking the boulevard, we regret not having seen the valley, especially as we stayed there 2 nights, we were not pilgrims passing..... to review the assignment of rooms. On leaving, I informed the management of the bad half board service of the restaurant Le Renaissance, because the hotel indirectly suffers the negative effects of this restaurant......
