Food Excellent as always

It was 4 years since our last stay but since then the hotel has been nicely redecorated.
My French is very basic but we always feel welcome here.
Highlight of the stay is the evening meal which we have always found to be very good and great value for money. Our room had been completely made over, was very modern. We use this as our first stop on a visit to France and once again we were more than happy with our stay.

Outstanding value for money

Although the room looked a little tired, and was compact it had everything we needed
To find the hotel, follow the signs which are found in the village centre and lead to the auberge. I could not find the hotel on my map nor GPS
There may be a problem staying here if someone had mobility issues as I didn't see any bedrooms on the ground floor and there was no lift
The welcome was polite and friendly
The breakfast was traditionally French (thankfully) and plenteous
The dinner was worth the detour that we may to stay here - the specials were worth taking a punt on (as we were not sure what 2 of them were)
If you don't speak French you may struggle as none of the staff appeared to speak English (which wasn't a problem for us)
We would return if traveling this way again

Disappointment

Used the hotel as an overnight stay from Brittany. The location is very good, only 10km from motorway. However the place seemed dated, with furniture falling apart. This was a big contrast to what the web page was promising.

Excellent overnight stopover

We used this on our way down to SW France ,our usual hotel a bit further north was full we found this suited our needs admirably. Good car parking for car, trailer and dogs. Ice dog walks in the evening. Room was clean and comfortable and the restaurant was very good. We got away early in the morning after a good breakfast for our long trip south. We will use this logison our return at the end of the summer.

Great stopover just 90 minutes from calais

Picked this hotel due to its closeness to the motorway. Very easy to find due to signposts etc. Arrived late but was warmly welcomed. Thus is small unpretentious, old style establishment which offers a honest and comfortable stay. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast simple but of good quality.
