Séjour parfait

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour à la Capelette. Logement bien équipé comme indiqué dans la description. Rien a dire au niveau de la propreté. De plus très bon accueil! Je recommande, nous reviendrons avec plaisir :)

La Capelette Escalles

Lovely Gite but beware of the stairs - my husband came home with a broken collarbone, after falling from top to bottom. Gloss paint & only one handrail to hold onto. Should carry a warning. Never got to sleep there as accident happened within 4 hours of arrival.

La capelette gite

Great base, stayed at this gite for 4 days earlier this year 2014 with husband, brother an sister in law only wished it was longer, good food next door Luvly village an beach only short walk, ideal to book for the larger family's as all 4 gites are joined an a large private garden at back would highly recommend. Clean an comfortable. An will return in the future. Very welcoming on arrival.

Great location but not ideal for an overnight stop

This a nice property in a lovely location but we booked it as an overnight stop on the way back from holiday. It is a gite and as such you are expected to leave it spotless when you leave at 10am or there is a heavy cleaning charge. To be fair, we had no problem with that and left it clean and tidy but the kids were on 'strict orders' and we didn't use the bathrooms or cooking facilities. It is better suited to a long weekend type stay for which I would highly recommend it. We've been to Calais dozens of times and never knew this area existed - it's the bit you see when the ferry gets close to the French coast and sails into Calais. It is very picturesque and there seems to be lots of WWII bunkers more or less intact which we hope to explore on a future occasion. The property has a pleasant garden area at the rear where you can chill out and barbecue (you are about 20mins from the Cite de Europe). It is one of four similar gites in a small village with restaurants (set meals from 18 euros) but no shop. They are well equipped but best suited for up to 4 rather than 6 for which a sofabed in the lounge is used.

Nous avons trouvé un gîte très sale à notre arrivée. Canapé convertible inconfortable avec draps de protection plein de cheveux et de miettes ainsi que des oreillers plein de tâches.
Emballage de lubrifiant et chips dans la chambre.
Kit bébé avec un lit sale et une chaise haute sans ceinture de sécurité.
Rampe d'escalier noire et collante de crasse... Et j'en passe
Bref je ne recommande absolument pas votre établissement, il faudrait être beaucoup plus vigilant sur l'hygiène de vos logements surtout en ce moment !
