We enjoyed it so much!

Enjoyed together with my daughter, what a treat! Super breakfast, even a homemade shot! Mighty tasty dinner and a lovely room with infrared chairs in the bathroom, and the location is beautiful!

Amazing Weekend Getaway in Oberstdorf

A wonderful and relaxing hotel with a friendly and accommodating staff. The breakfast offering was good and plenty. The view of the surrounding mountains was amazing. Hotel is situated next to hiking and biking trails. A short 15 minute walk into the town of Oberstdorf where you will find lots of restaurants, cafes and shops. Oberstdorf will not disappoint! Will definitely come back again!

A place to feel good – run with a lot of heart

This is the third time we have been to the Kühberg – and every time we feel completely comfortable here from the first moment. This time we were allowed to arrive with our in-laws and our young son and lived in the beautiful family room with its own sauna – spacious, stylishly furnished and ideal for relaxing. Just fantastic!
What makes the Kühberg so special is not only the fantastic location or the excellent food – which deserves great praise to the chef, by the way – but above all the loving and warm manner of Mrs Eichhorn, the hostess. Her personal attention, her flair for guests and her passion for what she does create a very special atmosphere that is not often found.
A real highlight this time was the wine accompaniment to dinner, which Mrs. Eichhorn warmly recommended to us. Their selection was perfectly matched and made each dish special again – with a lot of expertise and even more feeling.
For families, the Kühberg is a place where you feel welcome and cared for – with a lot of warmth and style.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and say: See you very soon – we will be back!

Recommendation!

A rather smaller hotel above Oberstdorf, worth its 5 stars: Absolutely quiet, rooms modern , appealing with lots of wood, large, bathroom spacious, beautiful views, parking free outside the door. Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, the included dinner leaves the choice between meat, fish and vegetarian and shows consistently high quality and originality. Not to forget: Four-legged friends also feel comfortable here. Staff friendly throughout.
In view of what is offered, the hotel offers a very good price/performance ratio.

Price/performance borderline

The former guest house is located away from the town on a hill with a very beautiful view of the mountains. The access road is only accessible to residents. The building has been extensively renovated and converted into a functional hotel. Checking in was a bit unusual, but pleasant. We were asked to go into the garden to be treated to a welcome greeting from the kitchen. We had booked a room on the 3rd floor with a balcony in the adjacent building. There is no elevator. However, our luggage was carried upstairs by an employee. The comfort room was beautifully furnished in a Scandinavian and functional style, but had no air conditioning. Despite the balcony door being open, the room was uncomfortably warm at night. The spacious bathroom with walk-in shower is separated from the living room by a large smoked glass door. The advertised gourmet menu was a bit disappointing. The breakfast buffet was also very well laid out and the fried eggs we ordered took forever. The staff are courteous, well trained and make every effort to satisfy the guest.
Conclusion: The small hotel complex has a beautiful location, but the price/performance ratio is very poor. Therefore, we can only recommend the hotel with reservations.
