Forewarned
A nice contact when booking, a fantastic location and then such incredibly run-down accommodation. A musty smell as soon as you enter the "lobby".
The room for 125 euros was a nightmare. Mold in the bathroom, blood in the bed covers, stains of every color and size all over the carpet, the two-seater and the armchair.
Dirt, pieces of tablets and hastily patched cracks in the walls round off the disgusting package.
We skipped showering, taking off socks and having breakfast.
How can you offer something like that? Anyone who has worked here once will probably never get a job anywhere else.

Not pet friendly, at all!
We arrived at this shabby looking hotel after a 2 hour drive and only then found out that this is their way of saying 'pet friendly'. It is not stated on their site or while booking. So while we would go dining the dog could stay unhappily alone in our hotel room, an enironment the doesn't know at all. This may result in barking or whining, we dog owners know.
Needlees to say keepimg the dog on a leash closeby in any of the other rooms, like the 'Stubchen' bar or elsewhere was also *not allowed*, so we could not enjoy ourselves drinking some or bowling, because that would mean our dog would be alone in the room! This is more like pet torture, not even considering the effects on other hotel guests.
Aside from this, the hotel looked and felt like a dated and smelly thing.
The only upside for us was its location, directly next to woods and many trails to walk. We specially chose this hotel for that, but expected to be free with our dog, from end-of-year fireworks, etc.
The town seemed nice but just before end of year also quite deserted; perhaps this is normal then?
Needless to say we cancelled our reservation after much discussion with the receptionist. Booking.com allowed this thankfully, so we had to return home, unfortunately. Never again!

Goed voor 1 nacht
Zetels en vloerbekleding op de kamer zijn vies.
Eetzaal heeft dringend opfrissing nodig.
Wij hadden een grote kamer en groot terras met heel mooi zicht.
Eten was niet super.Ontbijt ok
Gelukkige kan je goed buiten zitten.

Af te raden
Ik had rechtstreeks bij hotel halfpension geboekt met hond.
Nergens staat aangegeven dat hond niet mee mag in restaurant.
Ook op andere sites niet te vinden dat niet mag. Dus wanneer honden welkom zijn ga ik er dan van uit dat ze mee mogen in restaurant. Onze hond is dat van pup af aan gewend.
De kamers zijn super gehorig. Aan de scheuren in de muur te zien dunne gips blokken.
Vanaf moment dat buren arriveerden ze ook horen praten en bijna woordelijk kunnen verstaan.
Zij klaagden dat de hond blafte en jankte toen wij in restaurant zaten kwam medewerker ons vertellen. Zeg tja hij is dat niet gewend. Toen op wilde staan om naar kamer te gaan mocht blijven zitten omdat buren ook in restaurant zaten.
Eten was laf en flauw. Geen kruiden of smaakmakers gebruikt.
Maar maakte niet uit kreeg toch al geen hap meer door de keel want zat niet op mijn gemak.
Avond in bed voelde wat over me heen kruipen.
Ja hoor zwart beestje. Taai en moeilijk dood te maken. Bed inspectie. Toen weer even lag nogmaals. Bij die 2 is gebleven.
Ontbijt is keus maar niet royaal.
2e avond boink, boink boink. Feestje. Heb 2x naar beneden moeten bellen voor je alleen nog muziek hoorde en boink, boink, boink niet meer.
Deel personeel vriendelijk rest horken.
Kamer groot maar veel versleten.
