Disappointment
One of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have ever had.
I had a confirmed online check-in with a room number and access code. On the day of arrival, I was informed by phone around 11:30 a.m. that I would be getting a different room. The new access code was promised to me, but it was never sent.
After a 2.5-hour drive, I stood in front of the hotel at 12:40 a.m. without access. Despite multiple calls and emails, no one was reachable; there was no emergency number. In this situation, I even had to contact the Worms police dispatch center at 1:39 a.m.
After that, I had to contact about 15 hotels; many were fully booked. Finally, I found a replacement hotel and still had to drive 25 minutes there at night.
It was particularly stressful that I had to start a 24-hour shift as a doctor on the same day and had hardly any rest due to this incident.
My agency discussed the incident with the hotel. Unfortunately, only the original overnight stay was canceled. No further responsibility or appropriate compensation was assumed by the hotel.
Mistakes can happen – but how one deals with mistakes shows the quality of an establishment. I did not feel taken seriously in this situation and at times had the feeling of having been left alone with my problem.
I cannot recommend this hotel under any circumstances.

Simple and pleasant
Herrnsheim is a suburb of Worms, so the hotel is NOT central. You certainly need a car to move around, unless you enjoy waiting half an hour for a bus.
