Excellent Resort
Excellent resort with very well-maintained interiors and gardens. Crystal clear sea and top location, very close to Pythagorion, reachable with a nice walk or in two minutes by taxi (cost 5 euros). All the staff are very kind and professional, excellent breakfast both in the variety and quality of the products. The property has several restaurants and bars inside, a spa, a car rental point, and a minimarket. Excellent cleanliness and comfortable and pleasantly scented environments. The staff does not speak Italian but only English. If we have to find some small flaws, I would say that it would be necessary to add luggage racks in the standard rooms, cool the elevators because they are too hot, and serve the Greek pinsa also at dinner because it is excellent. Highly recommended property for both couples and families with children.

A truly special and unique experience
We are just back from a week at the Doryssa and I have nothing but great things to say. They upgraded us to a room in the village which is beautiful. It didn’t feel like we were staying in a big beach resort, but instead a pretty traditional village. It’s so unique, and that they have created is truly special. I’m so grateful for the upgrade, given that Jet2 had allocated us an older room that had not been renovated which is not what they advertise on their website. We also had a bottle of wine, cookies and fruit in our room with a lovely hand written note as I had mentioned we were there for our wedding anniversary. So thoughtful. Thank you! The room was great. We did have some niggles with the AC but they immediately rectified it. The team honestly cannot do enough.
The beach is a highlight. It’s stunning. Yes we had to get up early to ensure we had sun loungers together as the hotel are limited by law to how many they can have on the beach but I personally loved being there early and watching the sunrise and having a swim before breakfast which is incredible. Lots of choice. The fresh fruit and omelette station is brilliant. Always had a lovely warm welcome when we came down by the staff too.
One slight moan is the coffee is not nice from the machine. It would be lovely to have a coffee station where you can have coffees freshly made but apart from that we loved our breakfasts.
The location is perfect. So close to the airport. This for me is a huge plus as you have no long transfer after your flight. There are also no night flights so you are not disturbed. Also, watching the planes as they take off over the sea is quite special!
We had the most incredible week here. Thank you to everyone who works so hard to make the Doryssa as special as it is!

Wonderful hotel, super staff, great time.
Lovely hotel/resort. We stayed in the village part rather than the main hotel building. In the village, every building is unique. It's wonderful to walk through to get to breakfast or the beach!
Our family apartment was great. Two good sized rooms. One with twin beds and one with a queen or king sized bed. Big bathroom with shower. Air con was fantastic.
Breakfast was lovely. Good quality food. Plenty of choice.
Staff super helpful and friendly. The little shop has just about everything you need. 6 big bottles of water for €3.50.
Lots of loungers on the beach and by the pool. More availability on the beach though. But even a lot of those still get "reserved" by guests early on - shame, but not much can be done about it. But the staff will help move spare ones around if there are any. So as a family of 4, that helped a lot. Pool is open 10-6 and has a lifeguard there the whole time.
Sea is crystal clear and lovely. Pebbles to get in but sandy once in. Sea shoes help, but we didn't always bother with them.
Definitely recommend staying at Doryssa - we had a wonderful time.

Not great
Mixed bag really. Definitely overpriced and doesn't merit 5 stars. Pluses are the cleaners. Hats off to them they work all hours to a great standard.. Shop is cheap but thats where it ends. The pool bar area is far too expensive and some of the staff are indifferent, particularly the older woman who chews gum constantly. They also allow local youths in who terrorise the pool area with their abominable behaviour. There are locals who frequent the bar who get preferential treatment. Pool rules are generally ignored with beer glasses and dogs regularly seen. Lifeguard worse than useless, constantly on his phone. The nearby pegasus is a welcome distraction from this overpriced hole.

Wonderful stay
Our stay at Doryssa Seaside Resort exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles. Every member of the staff was very friendly and always willing to assist us with our needs.
We booked a room in the village, which was newly renovated, and we loved the atmosphere. It feels like you are living in a traditional Greek village. The Greek night at the square was the highlight of our stay, and the buffet offered more than enough options with authentic traditional food. The four restaurants with international cuisine are ideal, and the scenery truly excites your senses.
The breakfast and dining options were outstanding, with a wide variety of fresh, delicious food to suit every taste. The peaceful atmosphere throughout the resort made it the ideal place to relax and unwind. It is rare to find a place where you feel so comfortable and well looked after throughout your stay.
The beachfront location is simply perfect, offering crystal-clear waters and breathtaking views that made every day feel special.
We highly recommend it to anyone looking for exceptional service, beautiful surroundings, and an unforgettable holiday in Samos. We left with wonderful memories and are already looking forward to returning.
