Stay here for a fabulous experience!

I booked a single bed for a last minute business trip. Thérése was extremely helpful in arranging the booking. My bus from Cork to Bantry was cancelled and I had no way to get to my work commitment. Thérése and Seán generously gave me a ride as they were in Cork for the day. Is there anything more hospitable? The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely attached bathroom. Breakfast was delicious with many options, accommodating to all palates and allergies. The b & b is an easy walk into town. I would love to return to Doire Liath!

Not a good experience

Having booked on 4th January 2025 direct via email with Sean, we arrived to be told they hadn’t got a booking for us. Mary then sorted a bedroom out in the owners private area so at least we had a bed for the night. The room was very small with only a bottle of water and 2 glasses. There was no tv to watch while relaxing, also no kettle for a hit drink,after a full day on our motorcycle. The ceiling was slopping at one side and unfortunately I banged my head a few times. Not ideal. We had to go downstairs to a very small bathroom to use the toilet/shower with know where to put our toiletries. We didn’t get charged the full amount but I think what we were charged was too much for our accommodation. Not a good experience. Other guests were saying their rooms were lovely and were wanting to book again for next year.

Absolutely Fantastic

Arrived late in Bantry and very fortunate to get last room. Hospitality awesome Room fantastic comfortable very clean. Breakfast excellent. Can not recommend this gem highly enough forget your massive hotels this is the place to stay. Absolutely Fantastic

Wonderful stay at Doire Liath.

We have just returned from a family trip to Bantry Bay and were fortunate to have stayed at Doire Liath. Therese and Sean were so warm and welcoming. The rooms were lovely and spotlessly clean with all the facilities you would expect from an excellent B&B. The breakfast was out of this world and there are such a choice of food. Try Sean's soda bread, it was delicious. When we return to Bantry we will definitely be returning to Doire Liath. The Cremins.

Wonderful stay

Recently stayed and found Sean and Therese are so friendly and cannot do enough for you. First class facilities and a great breakfast menu all freshly cooked.
Seans home made soda bread was to die for!!
The two dogs were great fun and our stay in Bantry was absolutely fantastic.
Would definitely recommend.
