Best place to stay at Maheshwar

Wonderful Experience. Located on Main Road, but not far away from Ghat and Fort. Rooms are nicely done; Staff is courteous and helpful. They are serving Pure Veg Food and we enjoyed the meals. Ample Parking space, very few Hotels in Maheshwar have Lift and this is one of the Hotel - having Lift. True value for money.

Average stay

The hotel location is excellent, next to main highway. They have ample of parking, decent food. The staff was not professional & they had kept local people without uniform as staff. The rooms were spacious. But as soon as we checked in, we were offered 2 inferior rooms, which were not allotted to us originally. The original rooms were taking time to get cleaned by house keeping staff, so they gave us these rooms. They had no windows & felt claustrophobic. The bathroom was not having sufficient light. When we requested them to give another room, they were a bit reluctant & then we agreed to wait till the original rooms got cleaned. The bed had wood broken, which was pasted by cello tape. Also the AC was not functioning at first & when we complained, we observed they have a central switch which they switch ON.

Dissatisfied

We reached hotel at 3.30 - checked in but not shown to our rooms straight away. Check in time is 2pm -Waited till about 10 mins till someone came and took us. Was too tired and wanted a bath. But there were no towels. Called reception - towels came after a wait of 15 mins. Wanted to make tea - there was no milk powder sachets. Tried the kettle. It switched off half way and the water was not boiling -just hot and I like my tea boiling hot and also it is dangerous to drink the half warm water as it was tap water and not fully boiled. Told them but they refused to believe me- argued that it will be only warm and not boil. Room should have been fully ready . Then wanted to switch on good night( mosquito repellent machine) found there was no liquid. Stood at the reception with the bottle for 10 mins and then asked the receptionist if he could listen to me. He told me this would be done- I told I will take it. The person who changed it accompanied me to the room but himself did not know where to go despite telling him my room number 3 times and he working at the hotel.
Also while checking in we were told we will get 2 mineral water bottles but the person who took us to the room carried only 1 and when I asked when could I get the second one? He replied call reception when you need one. So far all good hotels keep water kettle, milk sachets, tea/ coffee in the room before guests arrive. This hotel looks weird. Also the toilet had water even when we not used the bath. So it was for sure that the room was not cleaned and ready for us which makes me think of hygiene issues. Again MP holidays booked us here so we trusted them but as usual they are not trustworthy enough!!

A centrally located place

A centrally located Hotel with decent rooms a good restaurant, perhaps one of the best in the town. Room quality is good, staff very courteous, good breakfast and a good spread for dinner. Place for purchase of Maheshwar Sarees in the close vicinity.

Nice location with huge parking area

Hotel Devraj is located on the main road in Maheshwar town. Best budget hotel with huge parking area and just 5 minutes walk to Maheshwar palace & Narmada ghat. The rooms are well maintained with basic amenities. The staff service is cooperative and friendly. The breakfast is expensive especially South Indian Dosa and puri baji. Better to improve room amenities and also provide complimentary breakfast.
