Irresponsible behaviour of the reception staff

I am a regular visitor to this hotel. I stayed in this multiple times. But now I had a bitter response while booking itself. I had contacted on Saturday (06.06.2026) requesting for 2 double rooms for stay on 11th July - 12th July 2026. Initially the reception staff gave a hope that i will get 1 room surely but for the 2nd room they informed that they will confirm next day. Again, I called Sunday and the reply was they will confirm next day. Accordingly, I called on Monday again the same reply was told. Likewise, I called yesterday and to my surprise, today (10.06.2026) I was told that there is no room. Being a regular visitor, I believed their words ana waited for 4 to 5 days. The staff could have told this on either Sunday or at least by Sunday or Monday, instead of giving hope and asking me to wait for 4-5days to give a negative reply. Request KPM Regency management to look into this and avoid such treatment by Reception staff. It's a good hotel otherwise but for the reception staff response.

Disappointing stay at KPM Regency, Palakad, Kerala

First, the positive aspect about this property. The property is very ideally located from where one can get transport at any time of the day.
The staff are guest friendly and always ready to serve the guest.
Now comes the accommodation part. I stayed at the property on 7th and 8th Dec. in a Deluxe room at a tariff of Rs.2600 per night. The mattress provided in the room needs a replacement urgently. It is spring mattress and the springs were poking my back more throughout the night than the providing a soothing and comfortable sleep.
The washroom is at an elevated level of more than a feet, making it very difficult for a senior citizen like me to get in and get out. The washroom tiles are broken and stained. The closet alone is found to be clean and fresh.
The TV set is installed at the right side of the bed on a wall instead of facing the bed, forcing one to turn the head to one side always to watch a TV program.
The free wifi is a bogus claim. Wifi is not available in the room. The staff could not do any thing about this despite complaining.
There were also cockroaches loitering in the room freely.
Overall, the experience of my stay at the property is disappointing. The Deluxe accommodation is not worth Rs.2600/-.

Not a great option

Only reception looked ok,rooms require a lot of refurbishment. Bathroom commode was with stains,tap was leaking.we were overcharged I believe, because even hotel with 1k tariff will provide cleaner toilets .There wasn't much option as most of the hotels where unavailable at palakkad yesterday.Complimentary breakfast offered was ok.

THINK TWICE BEFORE STAYING.

The hotel Reception and Restaurant looks good since they have done the interiors. But the hotel rooms are very bad. The furniture looks more than 10 years old. There is no ventilation and light inside the rooms and hence the room and the toilets are stinking. Renovation of the Hotel is over due. The towels looks pretty old and we do not feel like using. Its time to change these things. The buffet breakfast is very bad with limited varieties and tasteless Dosas and other stuff. The rooms are big but due to the non renovation and lack of ventilation , we had a tough time staying even for a day.

NEVER EVER STAY IN KPM REGENCY PALAKKAD

Stayed with my mother. Its terrible. no hot water. no water at times. unclean linen. dusty rooms. most unclean washroom. Horrible dirty, rude staff. Its a dilapidated and about to be shut down place. Its an abandoned place. NEVER EVER STAY HERE.
