A visit to elixir cliff varkala

For view beauty of this place I have given a 4 star but the food options were limited,
for North Indians like us there were hardly any options in breakfast and also the dinner we ordered doesn’t tasted good at all as after such a long journey from Rajasthan we wanted to have a nice dinner atleast at night but neither did they arranged anything at night and whatever was available with them they just said we have few options in veg we can only serve that and that was also not tasted well fr us …!
Though the staff and location everything was good
But food is definitely what pissed us off

Stunning Location with Major Disappointment – Not a 4-Star Property

We stayed here for two nights and found it very basic. If you are choosing this resort solely for the view, you’ll be happy. For everything else, look elsewhere. Despite its 4-star rating, Elixir Cliff feels like a struggling 3-star property at best.
The rooms are large but the layout is "bogus" and the furniture looks like it’s from the stone age. The most baffling design flaw is the AC outdoor units being installed inside the floor lobbies. It makes the hallways unbearably hot; you can't stand outside your room for even a minute. The bathroom doors are in horrible condition, and the shower fixtures are unnecessarily confusing to operate.
Maintenance of the property is very poor. Wooden floorboards in the lobby are coming apart with nails sticking out, which is a genuine safety hazard. The swimming pool was filthy with dirt and insects during our entire three-day stay, and there is no enforced dress code, so people jump in wearing anything. The floor inside the lift is horribly cracked.
Don't expect standard 4-star hospitality here. They don't provide bottled water in the rooms. Instead, they expect you to use a water dispenser in the lobby—a hilarious concept for a luxury resort. So funny.
The breakfast was pathetic. With only 7-8 tasteless items, it felt more like a game of luck to find something edible just to fill your stomach.
Unless you are obsessed with the location, avoid this place. It needs immediate attention and a massive renovation to justify its rating.

Poor maintenance

I booked this hotel via MakeMyTrip. While the balcony view is great, the hotel is not well maintained at all. The balcony fan in the room I was staying fell to the ground while we were in the balcony. Thankfully the weird noise alerted us to it and we moves out of the danger zone...but it could've been very dangerous. And the hotel staff were absolutely nonchalant. Only the electrician apologised...no one had anything to say. Despite the amazing view from the balcony, I will never stay here and wouldn't recommend it either. Safety is of uttermost importance.

To forget

Horrible dirty, they never clean rooms, only on request. Breakfast is indecent. Everything shabby and destroyed, a stink, to be avoided absolutely!!!!! 5 stars? Not even 1/2 star.
