Quiet convenient paradise
Our first trip to Bali and we arrived at Mule Malu for a 3 night stay. From the moment we arrived the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive and so helpful for newbies. We had breakfast at the restaurant every morning and it was delicious and fresh, served with love and care. The grounds are an oasis from the business of the Uluwatu streets, impeccably cared for and a perfect place to relax between trips to the beach, yoga or cafes. I also had the best massage of our trip with the in house masseuse. Highly recommend staying at Mule Malu whether you’re a couple, family or anyone looking for a great location with some quiet relaxation.

Chaos to Calm
ThisThis is the sweetest little oasis right in the best spot - Bambu Gym is just across the road, Alchemy is an easy 5-minute walk away, and the top shops are on your doorstep. I felt I’d hit the jackpot, coming from chaos to calm - the staff, the setting, massage, and gorgeous room with outdoor bathroom ticked all the boxes. My best stay in Indonesia yet ✨

Home away from home!
Tucked away in a wonderfully peaceful corner of Bingin, Uluwatu, Mule Malu feels like one of those little places you’re almost reluctant to tell people about (but I will!) — a hidden gem that manages to be blissfully quiet while still putting you right in the middle of the village buzz, with the best beaches and restaurants just moments away.
From the moment we arrived, we fell completely in love with the atmosphere. The bungalows are beautifully designed, incredibly cosy and spotlessly clean, with all the thoughtful little touches you would hope for: wonderfully soft sheets, seriously comfortable pillows, lovely high-quality toiletries (locally sourced), gorgeous kimonos for lounging and your own little outdoor seating area overlooking the lush garden and inviting pool.
And then there’s the outdoor bathroom… showering under the stars is one of the loveliest experiences ever. ✨
The staff deserve a special mention too. They were genuinely lovely — warm, kind, attentive and always happy to help, without ever being intrusive. There’s a wonderfully relaxed energy throughout the whole place that makes you feel instantly at home.
And the food… honestly, wow. Breakfast was a particular highlight, with a tempting choice of beautifully prepared dishes using fresh, high-quality ingredients. My daughter and I became slightly obsessed with the yoghurt, granola and local fruit bowl — addictive!
In fact, we loved the food so much that we often preferred eating at Mule Malu rather than going to some of the more fashionable restaurants in the area. That says quite a lot.
The value is exceptional, especially considering the quality, atmosphere, location and genuinely personal service. It’s stylish without being pretentious, special without trying too hard, and exactly the kind of place that makes a holiday feel that little bit more memorable.

Peaceful oasis in Uluwatu
This is a beautiful little place with lovely rooms, beautiful gardens, excellent food and wonderful service. We loved our stay and would highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel More ...
We arrived at 3 for 3 nights at this hotel.
The hotel told us that 2 breakfasts were included and that our child had to pay for breakfast. Knowing that he was 2 years old, they made us pay these morning bottles extra... and everything we took extra for him was charged ( fruits ... )
In the choices offered in the morning for lunch, many dishes were not included in the breakfast offer and there was a lot of extra to pay.
In addition, hot water was not on the appointment because we were dependent on the sun for it.
Be careful when it rains, there is quite a bit of mud in the sun which is not very convenient with a child.
The staff at the end were not very pleasant when we had to settle the bill. There was no internet and it was almost up to us to find a solution.
Great location in Uluwatu and the meals were good.
