An oasis in Maroc

When we arrived at nightfall I was sceptical as we seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. However we were greeted by Aziz who showed us to our room which was a unique set of rooms set around a plunge pool in a blue courtyard. We stayed for a week in this incredible boutique hotel. It bursts with character. The staff our wonderful and can’t do enough for you. From the private Hammam and massage. To the garden and main swimming pool it’s a place to relax and unwind. We made sure to spend a good deal of our week here. Although Marrakesh itself was only 20 minutes away and transport was organised for us whenever we needed it. I don’t want say much more as we would like to keep it secret. But I will say this we went around the hotel and looked at each style of room and no matter where you stay. Each has its own unique layout and we would have stayed in any of them. Thanks Philipe and all the staff for your precious oasis. We will see you again

A memory forever

An exceptional stay in this riad. Away from Marrakech city center (20 min drive) , we were able to enjoy the calm and tranquility. We were very well received and all the staff were kind and attentive. The decor is typical and very pretty. There is a gentle and soothing soul in this place. The presence of the cats is very relaxing, they are there, walk around and absolutely do not disturb the guests.Breakfasts are good with hot msemens and prepared on site. The restaurant is nice and not excessive. So, yes, not everything is perfect in the rooms of small items repaired rather than exchange, but is it so important if it does not impact the quality of the stay. I refer to some comments that I find very harsh and the opposite of what I have seen. For a week with breakfast included, I did not find the price excessive!
Then I highly recommend this riad if you are looking for authenticity.
What upset me was the amount of waste in the village where the Riad is located. And I realize that life is not easy for the people who live there, because conditions are not comfortable for everyone. So you have to be lenient, but yes, it’s a shame.

A real haven of peace – unforgettable stay at the Caravan Serai!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Riyadh Caravan Serai. The place is splendid, authentic and incredibly calm — only about twenty minutes from the center of Marrakech, but off-center enough to offer a real serenity break. It enjoys a rare silence and a soothing atmosphere that really allows you to recharge and cut off from the bustle of the city.
The staff is exceptional: rare kindness and kindness. Always Smiling, Caring and Ready to Do Service. Special mention to Philippe, the owner, a passionate man, settled in Morocco for a long time, who invests in a magnificent animal rescue association (cats, dogs, etc.). You feel the kindness and respect of the living even in the soul of the place.
Riyadh is home to some lovely, discreet and very sweet cats, who participate in the peaceful and caring atmosphere of the place. As a cat lover, I loved their presence!
On the relaxing side, everything was perfect: delicious cuisine, exceptional massage, and common areas are decorated with great taste. It feels instantly good, almost “at home”, but better.
Even if Riyadh is a little off-center, there is no need for travel: free shuttles are offered daily at 10am and 6pm to or from Marrakech city centre, and a taxi is available on site at all times, making travel simple and convenient.
In short: a perfect stay, in a place full of charm, calm and humanity.
I recommend it 1000% — a real favorite ❤️

A small paradise outside the crowds but very well connected thanks to regular shuttles

Everything was perfect
Rooms can be interconnected and the hotel has lots of small lounges where we can meet.take the aperitif, dinner, lunch
The hotel manager is very invested in the animal cause, think, like us, to bring kibble to feed stray cats
Special mention for the hotel taxi
KHALID who came to us throughout our stay...

The hotel is situated in a slum. Hotel has it´s own taxi, since taxis does not want to drive there and their taxi is expensive. We changed to another hotel during our stay.
