Never expected it to be that satisfying

I booked the place before arriving in Kathmandu. As I arrive in the airport and ask a taxi to send me to this hotel, the taxi drove me to a very narrow area off the main road. I have no idea about Nepal since it was my first travel, but i am glad i got there safely. Hotel Manohara is indeed near the airport. Just that taxis charge a lot in Kathmandu. I paid 7usd for a very short distance. Comparing than taking a public bus to Lokanthali,it only cost you 15NPR.
Anyway, when I arrive,the place looks like more a huge local house to me and I am the only guest in. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. And he is very attentive on your needs. They even offered me a bottle of mineral water upon arrival.
They placed me to the room up in a rooftop. And the room is massive. Way massive for the price I paid. It have a shared balcony with a perfect view of tje mountains, crop fields, river and airport. I am so awed of what i saw that time. And the room have aircondition, hot shower which works perfectly and pretty good wifi. They also cook food and the taste is very delicious. You can pre.order the food and they serve it up in your room.
Stayed 3nights there and the place never showed any lapses on their service.
If im coming back in Kathmandu, i will surely book in this place again!!
Trust me, I am a picky woman with sense of taste. This place is wonderful!

Annapurna Circuit

Just few kilometers away from the airport, mountain view room are good, toilet are very narrow as well as the shower area. There’s is no staff in the reception area so you will waste your time by waiting. The service here is bad, I ordered 2 beer and paid I was waiting for the change but they dont give it me. So better paid the exact amount then give different tip if you are satisfied.

For a cheap hotel, this is not a bad choice but there are some things that also in a cheap hotel would have to be right. That the room is not large and dated can you expect in a cheap hotel. Wi-Fi was strong enough but the underlying server worked as hourglass, larger files were not downloaded or uploaded or very slowly.
The kitchen was offten not to use by the terrible mess: dirty dishes, dirty stove and no pan to use before that was cleaned. We didn't cook there.
Also I find it odd that stay in cheaper hotels tend to be only one towel for two people was available and that for 5 nights

Could have been better

Hotel Manohara was my only option near Lokanthali so i booked this hotel for three nights and it was overall nice stay but bit far could have been much better if there were extension telephone line in the room and taken care of room cleanliness.The towels in the room was outdated should b replaced. Better not to choose on BB plan.I am happy they provided us a best room with acon and 24 hours hot water & wifi was excellent.Overall service was satisfactory.
