Great location for weekend getaway.

Great location, breakfast, food. For a weekend getaway Nice rooms and fine beds. no air conditioning but was with a fan fine solved. We could rent bikes for a great price.

Disappointing

Very disappointing experience at winselershof. The recent acquisition of flow clearly shows that it is no longer about the love for the beautiful property, the service and the guests but that it is about making money. Absolutely not worthy of 4 stars.
* very dated rooms; rancid carpeting no air conditioning no refrigerator
* Due to “budget cuts”, cleaning is only done once; even if you stay several days. Towels are not changed and no new coffee cups either. We weren't informed about it beforehand either.
* Quality of breakfast is mediocre. Limited choice especially if you want to have breakfast a little later. Restaurant is beautiful but deserves maintenance (read: cleaning; the cobwebs hang on the glass fronts and a broom over the terrace does not look out of place either).
* The wines at the Italian restaurant luigi are ridiculously high. It's too bad.
* Nothing is done about the “atmosphere”. In the beautiful courtyard there are tables that are not set for lunch or dinner and also lack any kind of light. It is a dark place while it has everything in it to make something wonderful of it. The dated lounge sofas with broken “chests” are also not very inviting. When we wanted to have a drink at 2300 o'clock at home everything was already closed. Restaurant luigi is very atmospheric inside; nothing to complain about.
* At checkout we had to pay “handling costs” in addition to tourist tax. No one could tell us exactly what that was but seems to be a new source of income for flow.
A great pity because the property and location has everything to make it something beautiful. It just needs love and it's totally lacking. If flow seems to focus on a different target group, then of course fine, but then the 4 stars can be removed so that the customer knows what he is booking.

Beautiful location , but on August 1 moderate service in the courtyard. No attention whatsoever to take an order. We have risen and continued our way.

Indulgence.

Spent two nights here. Because of the heat moving to another room was no problem. At Pirandello restaurant, tongue-in-cheek plates were served with every course, very successful. The second evening we dined at Luigi's but were not enthusiastic about it. My starter was a lump of tagliatelli with hardened, melted cheese that lay like a brick on the stomach.
All the staff are super friendly.
From the hotel you can take a forest walk.

Very warm musty rooms, beds are not made, lots of stairs

Beautiful location. If you have difficulty with stairs, make sure you don't sleep in the main house. The rooms were very warm and there is no air conditioning. When we came back to the room in the evening the bed was not made. For me, this is part of a ‘hotel experience’. When we made a comment about this, they stated that this is for ecological reasons and that consequently the room is only cleaned on request and the same applies to making the beds.
