More hotel than backpackers. Great place to stay, fab location

Really great to place to stay, friendly staff giving out great advice for your trip. The backpackers was really a hotel with a kitchen. Great distance to town (about 5 minutes walk to centre of high street)
Clean and tidy always.
Loved the tea, coffee and cookies available for free in the communal area.
Communal area was a great place to meet people and chat getting advice where to go and what to eat with other travellers.
We will be returning soon

Everything was great: nice room, nice location. The only thing that was not very convenient is that the kitchen is open from 7 o'clock, and I checked out earlier, so I couldn't use it, but it's not a big problem:)

The hostel is very close to the town centre, less than 5 minutes walk, and only 6 or 7 mins from the harbour.
My room was clean, quiet and comfortable as were the communal areas. The kitchen was really well equipped and I felt that for the price I paid the whole experience exceeded my expectations.

Excellent Stay with One Minor Flaw

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a generally wonderful experience.
The highlight of my stay was definitely the customer service. The receptionist was incredibly nice and helpful, always greeting me with a smile and going out of their way to answer my questions and make me feel welcome.
The room itself was clean and comfortable. However, the only downside was the window curtains. Even when fully closed, they still let a lot of light through. If you are a light sleeper or prefer a completely dark room to sleep in, this might be a bit bothership.

5 nights in Tromsø in June

The hotel is well located, about a 5–10 minute walk from the city centre, depending on where you want to go. Tromsø is a very compact city, so most places are within walking distance.
The highlight of our stay was the front desk receptionist, Olivier. He is a super friendy person, he loves people and he enjoyes chatting and sharing recommendations about the city attractions. He is also very approachable and always happy to help.
Olivier, of you are reading it, thanks again for making our stay so memorable.
The room was clean and had a double bed, just as we requested.
There is also a shared kitchen, dining room and a cosy living room. Coffee, tea and cookies are also avaible for travellers for free in that room.
We came there for the Midnight Sun Marathon and the place was full of runners, so it was great chatting with them over meals or while relaxing on the sofa.
