Original discovery of the Sine Saloum

A camp perfectly integrated into nature: original stay to discover the Sine Saloum, in absolute comfort: swimming pool, comfortable and spacious rooms, bar with terrace and view of the bolong.
Nothing is missing for a successful vacation, the staff is very attentive, friendly, smiling and competent.
Impeccable value for money: a stay to repeat and recommend!

To be avoided.

We had reserved 2 sites for 2 nights with half board.
We found ourselves "upgraded" to 2 ordinary rooms with dirty walls, supposedly larger (but we wanted sites), one bath towel and one bath mat (we are 2), and a soap that looked used (we would later learn that it is a handmade soap made by the women of the village), with bare bulbs on the wall, and a wardrobe with the second door locked.
Certainly, the view is nice, but while walking around the site, there were sites with nice views too! For a little backstory, we were 9 guests, so the hotel was not full.
Arriving at 2 PM, the restaurant was closed, the bar was closed, we could only be served water, and we were informed that dinner is at 8 PM. Since we are at the end of the mangrove, it is difficult to leave to go eat somewhere.
We therefore tried to keep ourselves occupied, as the wifi is only accessible from 7 PM to 9 PM.
A few "idle" staff members, apparently overwhelmed by the heat, were lingering here and there.
Simple but good homemade food.
We had reserved for the next day the "Grandeur Nature" day, a canoe trip in the bolongs, swimming, and a picnic with grilled fish.
Very nice day, good food, thanks to Fatou, Lamine our captain, and Bapé our guide, all very kind.
Oh, and by the way, the bill can only be paid in cash, no credit card!!!!
We would have liked to know this beforehand to avoid parting with all our cash. We express our dissatisfaction; there has been no response, we are blaming Fatou, and we are being told again that we were upgraded after all. In short, they don't care; we paid!!!!
The concept of Terenga seems to be unknown. Thank you, Spirit of Africa.

Nous sommes désolés que l'accueil et certains aspects de la chambre n'aient pas été à la hauteur de vos attentes, ainsi que pour l'attente à votre arrivée et le manque d'information sur le paiement en espèces : ce sont des points que nous prenons au sérieux et allons corriger.
Nous sommes en revanche ravis que la nourriture maison vous ait plu, et surtout que la journée "Grandeur Nature" ait été un si beau moment pour vous. Un grand merci de votre part à Fatou, Lamine et Bapé, qui ont manifestement fait toute la différence.
La Teranga est au cœur de ce que nous voulons transmettre, et nous regrettons de ne pas vous l'avoir fait ressentir tout au long du séjour. N'hésitez pas à nous recontacter directement pour en discuter.

Quiet and recommended hotel.

Ecolodge hotel located in a natural grandeur of mangroves. The rooms are fair cabins, but with everything you need. Overall they are with panoramic views. The staff is very friendly and the food is very correct and good. It offers the possibility of activities.

An enchanting journey

We had a great stay at the barracudas , everything is done to make you feel good and share the spirit of Africa. The setting is exceptional, comfortable rooms, and tasty cuisine.
Adama knew how to respond to all our requests and M’Bappé really gave everything to make us discover this beautiful region, its rites and customs so enchanting.

We stayed 3 nights in this beautiful place. We appreciated the quality and authenticity of the breakfasts and dinners, and the kindness of the staff always smiling. The variety of fauna that can be encountered in this corner of paradise is also beautiful. The quiet, nature and hospitality of the place makes the experience unforgettable.
The veranda of our room allowed us to appreciate the beautiful sunrises .. Approved!
