I booked a two-room apartment for 3 persons , and then they put an extra folding bed, very uncomfortable. The windows did not open and the room was very stuffy. The breakfast was on time and excellent.

This property is truly a hidden gem, showcasing stunning Art Nouveau architecture that transports you away from the modern world. The interior and exterior design are absolutely beautiful, offering a unique and timeless atmosphere. Convenient parking on-site adds to the overall ease of the stay, while the breakfast, served in the finest Slovakian tradition, was a delightful start to each day. The location is perfect, just a short walk to Nitra's City Center. Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable! A special mention to the owner, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. His multilingual skills ensured smooth communication throughout our visit. Highly recommend this exceptional property!

Nice old manor style hotel

The location at the outskirts of Nitra is not very interesting if you do not have a car. There is no restaurant, so you have to go outside for diner. The interior is like an antiques shop. The stairs are monumental but make lots of noice, The furniture in the room is also antique which results in cracking bed and chairs. The bathroom is recent, functional and clean. Better English at the reception would be an improvment.

Nice people in traditional house but not so great facilities

Zamora u Grofa is a big old house on the outskirts of Nitra, about 30 min walk from the town centre. The entrance lobby is dark with stuffed animals and old paintings. Behind a curtain is a small lift that takes you to the top floor where the rooms are.
Good points: friendly people, rooms downstairs decor
Bad points: no aircon, no WiFi, location 30 mins from town, beds very basic, room not very clean, breakfast was slices of ham or cheese, cereal and bread only.
I wouldn’t recommend staying here as a business customer but if you are on holiday and got a good price it would be ok for a day or two.

Great building but not much else

Great historical house but run cheaply. 2 sachets of very little shampoo, no haidryer, small cakes of soap. There was a dead fly in the orange juice. Only cash accepted as apparently "credit card machine not working". No air-conditioning. Pillows are pathetic as you habe to double them over to use.
