Perfect stay in a beautiful hotel and in a great city
The hotel is very close to the Guggenheim Museum and our room category had a direct view of the museum. The room was nicely furnished, large enough, and clean. The attentive staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was plentiful and balanced. We really enjoyed our 5 days here at the hotel and in the city.

Quirky Bilbao Hotel
I was unlucky to have room 81 which backed onto the lift shaft. I asked if I could change rooms but the hotel was full. This same situation would apply to rooms 21 upwards; you have been warned.
I was surprised the hotel has no restaurant serving dinner. The breakfast restaurant was fine and they had an acceptable range of food.
The quirkiness relates to the room. Firstly, don't expect to find the room number on the door or wall; it is located on the floor.
Once inside the room the heavy duty curtains play an unusual part.
There is one curtain that separates the sleeping area from the hallway. Another curtain separates the sleeping area from the bathroom, therefore if you pull it back everything is on display in the toilet and bathroom, even though a mirror punctuates the view. A third curtain is used to block off a wardrobe and storage area.
In summary, I don't think I would stay there again.

Unfortunately, on this occasion, as the hotel was fully booked, we were unable to offer you an alternative room. We would, however, like to clarify that we also have rooms facing the street, offering beautiful views over Bilbao and the Guggenheim Museum. These room categories are available for guests who particularly wish to enjoy an exterior location and nice views.
Regarding the curtains and the layout of the room, we are sorry that this particular design did not appeal to you. This is an intentional feature of Hotel Miró's distinctive interior design, conceived to create a flexible and contemporary space. We appreciate, of course, that this is a matter of personal taste and that this concept may not suit every guest.
With regard to dinner, while we do not have an on-site restaurant, we do offer room service 24 hours a day. In addition, our location allows guests to choose from a wide variety of excellent restaurants within walking distance, and our team is always happy to recommend and assist with reservations according to our guests' preferences.

A nice, clean hotel in the best location
The hotel is located directly across from the Guggenheim Museum. The reception was very friendly. The rooms are small, very clean, functional, and equipped with everything one needs (e.g., hairdryer, tissues, kettle, magnifying mirror,...). I really felt very comfortable here and can only recommend the hotel.

A lovely, modern 4 star hotel just a short 2 min walk along from Bilbao’s Guggenheim. Welcoming and helpful staff. We booked a suite on the 8th floor (I think it’s the highest category room) which was well equipped with a bath, separate shower and good aircon. We appreciated the Molton Brown products in the bathroom.
There was a relaxing and stylish honesty bar on the ground floor. We didn’t have time to try the breakfast. A range of restaurants and shops are located on the blocks behind and to the side of the hotel, and the old town is maybe around a 25 minute walk away.
We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent trip
Lovely hotel. Staff very helpful, polite and friendly. Good location easy walking distance to the old town and museums. Would definitely stay at the Miro again.
