Did the job

Went here with students from a secondary school and staff and have to say it was mostly fine. The hostel is reasonably decent for the price and is acceptable for what you are getting. Staff on reception were helpful and friendly speaking good English answering any queries and issues. Clean towels can be hired during your stay. Breakfast probably isn’t worth the price if I’m being honest but did the necessary job for us and students .

Establishment with a manager who does not take responsibility!!!!

Motorcycle friends, keep moving, we called in the morning to check if a garage was available for our motorcycles, the answer was positive. Upon arrival, the garage key was apparently left with the previous customer; after an hour of waiting in the street in the heat, we finally got the key. The icing on the cake, this morning our motorcycles had been moved... I’ll let you imagine our surprise. We spoke with the manager who avoided us (very classy) and hid well behind her employee. We were given no explanation and were refused a refund for the garage, which we were asked to pay in cash to the manager's pocket. In short, motorcycles were not damaged but the establishment should be avoided at all costs!!!!

Sun & Moon Hostel Barcelona

I stayed here for three nights in an 8-bed dorm with a bathroom. Each of the beds have a curtain which I loved as it adds a bonus of privacy. There was a lockable drawer underneath the bed for luggage storage which I utilized. The bathroom was not as clean as it could be, but then again I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in a hostel with a clean bathroom unfortunately. Though everything else was great. The hostel is located on an ideal street with restaurants and shops. It’s near to the Barcelona Cathedral as well as the beach and Mercat de la Boqueria. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating which made me feel safe and looked after. Overall, I recommend staying here.

The easyjet of hostels - 5€ surcharge if you want a blanket on your bed…

The area the hostel is in is great! Overall it’s clean and secure. But it’s one of those places that charges extra for every little thing! Towels sure, luggage storage is a bit stingy, but BLANKETS!! In what world is a blanket not part of booking a bed?!
The lockers next to the bed are very practical, as is the individual light and plug but also very noisy so anyone checking out early will wake you up. And the bathroom (1 toilet and shower en-suite to share between 8 people) really isn’t enough, if there are other toilets on the floors the rooms are on I wasn’t told. Whoever your marketing person is is very good though!
