A wonderful, comfortable, and beautiful hotel. Excellent service, cleanliness, and location. Spacious and very comfortable rooms. Highly recommended

3 nights in Begur
3 nights in Begur , the shared space is beautifully decorated. The first evening a musty smell is noticed on returning from dinner. The next morning it was also present, after checking , the walls , behind the curtains ,.... there is mold everywhere, the walls, the bathroom , even in the ledge over the entire surface of the room. After one night I started allergic rhinitis that only got worse (the day outside was fine, but as soon as I returned to the room it was catastrophic for me) a wasted stay. The room rate is too high for such a stay. The TV only works for the Spanish ( wifi failing to make our subscriptions work) the surprise was also the filthy state of the 2 pillows ( yellow with halos? ) the breakfast is correct salty / sweet. Nice staff. No parking and the place is not very lively. Perfect place for 1 night, but no more! Paying 471€ for 3 nights in a room covered in mold seems excessive to me. Nice balcony (in January I took the opportunity to breathe clean air and try to ventilate the room! Deceptive by the pretty decoration.
I encourage homeowners to install a vmc or wall stripping! I don’t have a good memory of this hotel and will never come back. It's been 24 hours since we got home and I'm not coughing anymore, my nose is not running and my eyes are not stinging anymore! I was only fine outside this room! Too bad there is good potential or come in summer and leave the windows open .....

Excellent end of year stay at Hotel Sa Calma
Thank you to the entire hotel team. Thanks to you we had a great stay. Architecture "Indian house" typical of the historic center of Begur, cozy atmosphere, ideal location in the heart of the village, and especially the warm welcome of the whole team Sylvia, Jawad and Gloria. Thank you also for your kind attention on December 31st. We will be back with great pleasure.

A beautiful place to stay with an amazing view of the city, right next to many wonderful restaurants
We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Sa Calma and would give it our highest recommendation.
The hotel is a beautifully restored historic building with elegant décor that perfectly blends charm and comfort especially the rooms which are beautifully decorated and practical for your stay. It feels authentic and local rather than touristy, which made our stay in Begur even more special.
Our kids looked forward to breakfast every morning—especially the made-to-order eggs, which they couldn’t stop talking about! The breakfast selection was excellent and a wonderful way to start each day.
The staff was consistently kind, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay.
The location was ideal—right in the heart of Begur with easy access to wonderful restaurants, shops, and the town’s charm, yet it never felt crowded or overwhelming.
One of our favorite surprises was the rooftop deck and the refreshing cold plunge pool. We didn’t realize how much we would enjoy having that peaceful space to relax after a day of hiking, exploring, and visiting the beaches. It ended up being exactly what we didn’t know we needed.
If you’re looking for a boutique hotel with character, exceptional service, and a true local feel, Hotel Sa Calma is the perfect choice. We would happily stay here again.

Two nights of disappointment
The bed very comfortable, the breakfast very good, however we had been cheated with the room characteristics and when it came to making a complaint twice both the first day and the last day the receptionist treated us very badly and got defensive to call us mossos d'esquadra for the simple fact of not being willing to pay the full fee for having cheated us with the room characteristics. He accused us of smoking in the room when it didn't happen and turned everything around and started complaining about us as the customers. Very bad treatment from this receptionist and very bad treatment with the hotel manager. We'll never come back.
