Not recommended at all, we will not be back.

Not recommended at all. Bad location, in the middle of nowhere. The only thing nearby is a small fishing village with no charm whatsoever. The pool is full of mosquitoes, so you cannot relax or sunbathe in peace. The staff, although polite in general, were quite cold. Spacious rooms but very neglected, they need a renovation. It might have been good in its day, but it has become obsolete. Finally, I must highlight the terrible value for money; more than €200 per night for this accommodation seems abusive to me.

Bittersweet.

We celebrated our wedding here and, honestly, we are leaving with mixed feelings.
The first thing I want to highlight is the positive. The place is beautiful, even prettier in person than in the photos. The food was excellent, and the dining room staff and waiters were very kind throughout the entire celebration. It was clear they were trying to help and make sure everything went well, so my criticism is not directed at them, but at the organization and management of the event; an hour before, things were still missing, there was misinformation regarding allergies, and they even tried to charge us double in the middle of the party.
We booked the wedding more than a year and a half in advance. From the very first moment, we explained that it would be an intimate wedding of about 30 people, and we asked several times if that would be an issue. They assured us it wouldn't, just that it had to be held on a Friday instead of a weekend.
For months, we organized everything with Svetlana. She showed us the room where the banquet would likely be, and a few months before, she practically confirmed it would be that one so we could plan the decorations. We also asked if we could decorate the day before, and for weeks we kept getting the same answer: that they still didn't know if there would be another event. The final answer never came. A few days before the wedding, they told us that if we wanted, we could leave all the decorations in storage and they would set them up following a drawing. For us, that wasn't an option, since they couldn't even confirm which room would be for the banquet until the very day of. Besides, we were bringing delicate instruments and decorations that we wanted to set up personally, not to mention we live more than an hour away.
On the day of the wedding, we arrived several hours early to decorate and found that an auxiliary table, a table for the ceremony, a chair, and a tablecloth that had been requested weeks ago were missing. I went to the front desk looking for Svetlana and they informed me that she had already finished her shift and had left. The most disconcerting thing was that no one could tell me who was coordinating the event or who I should address to solve those problems. I had to go around asking the waiters personally until, luckily, Teresa appeared and helped us a lot, even doing tasks that were not even her responsibility. Thanks to her we managed to finish setting everything up, but I was an hour away from getting married and I still hadn't been able to get dressed because we were still resolving issues that should have been prepared long before.
We were also insisted upon for months that dinner had to start before 9:00 PM due to kitchen needs, to the point of organizing the entire ceremony and cocktail hour in quite a rush to meet that schedule. However, on the day of the wedding itself, the cocktail hour was not even completely ready when the ceremony ended and, finally, dinner began quite a bit later than nine without there being any problem. That difference between what was demanded of us and what actually happened was difficult for us to understand.
Another aspect that worried us was the management of allergies. We communicated all intolerances in advance, including a severe (deadly) nut allergy of the bride's brother. Even so, the cheese table at the cocktail hour was full of walnuts and other nuts. Furthermore, during dinner there were moments of confusion because the staff had to ask on several occasions which dish corresponded to which guests and who had certain allergies or intolerances.
Regarding administrative management, there were also quite a few problems. We had to request several times that they correct the invoice because it contained errors, such as the hours of open bar contracted. We made the full payment one week before the wedding, just as they instructed us, and we sent the receipt. The most uncomfortable thing happened during the celebration itself. In the middle of the party, a waitress approached the groom with a card terminal in front of the guests to charge us nearly €1,800 that, supposedly, remained pending since they said that only the reservation was recorded as paid. The bride had to start looking for the receipts in the middle of the party. Finally, they verified that it was indeed paid and they did not say anything else to us, but we believe that such a situation should never happen at a wedding.
We also asked expressly before hiring if people outside the event could access the wedding area from the restaurant. They assured us that they could not, that there would be a partition. However, during the cocktail hour, a lady completely unrelated to our wedding entered the private area and started taking photos, even ending up in some of ours. Later, we verified that there really was no barrier preventing that access.
What left us with an even worse taste in our mouths happened at the hotel check-out. Being in a hurry because we had to catch a flight, Svetlana insisted several times on speaking with us. We thought it would be to ask how everything had gone, but it was just the opposite. Although she spoke politely at all times, she reproached us for having shown annoyance and started telling us that, in reality, the ceremony should not have been held there, that the menu we had contracted was not a wedding menu, that the banquet should not have been held in that room either, and that they were "favors" she had wanted to do for us, something she had never told us in all the months of preparation. All of that is difficult to understand when those were precisely the options she herself offered us in a dossier she showed and sent to us, which we accepted and paid for more than a year in advance. We simply contracted the service they offered us; if there was any error in the way those packages were sold, we understand that it was an internal problem of the establishment, not the client's.
Our final feeling is that the place has a lot of potential. The setting is beautiful, the food was fantastic, and the dining room staff did everything possible to help us. Precisely for that reason, it is such a shame that such poor organization ended up tarnishing such an important day. I hope this review serves to improve coordination and communication with future couples, because with better management, the experience could be truly excellent.

A missing opportunity

The property is undeniably beautiful, surrounded by plants and flowers. I booked a room for two during my journey from Portugal to Italy. My low rating is due to the following points:
1. The room was extremely basic. There was no phone to contact reception, the air conditioning was excessively noisy, and the minibar fridge produced enough noise that I had to unplug it.
2. The Wi‑Fi connection in the room reached only 5–6 Mbps, which is far below what one should expect from a 4‑star‑plus hotel.
3. The hotel advertises a “culinary experience” with two restaurants, including a Michelin‑listed one for 2026. Unfortunately, both were closed on Monday and Tuesday, leaving no dining options on site. Given that the nearest restaurants are in Vinanos, 15 minutes away by car keeping at least one open would be far more reasonable.
The reception staff were courteous and attentive, which I sincerely appreciate. However, aside from the beautiful setting, the overall experience was significantly below expectations. I will surely give a miss next month on the way back to Portugali

Amazing location and service in this boutique hotel. Incredibly relaxing, walking/biking distance to a secluded beach. Plenty of activities nearby.
