Hotel Comillas ligt in de wijk Centrum van Comillas in Comillas. Een aantal lokale bezienswaardigheden om te bezoeken zijn Palacio de Sobrellano en Palacio de Ocejo. Heb je bovendien zin om het natuurschoon in de omgeving te bewonderen? Neem dan een kijkje bij Oyambre Natuurpark en Gebied van Natuurbelang La Viesca. Calle de Juan Infante en Calle de Santo Domingo zijn ook zeker het bezoeken waard. Dit hotel heeft niet alleen een buitenzwembad, maar ook een restaurant en een businesscentrum. Parkeren is gratis. Een conciërgeservice, een wasserij en een tuin zijn enkele van de overige voorzieningen. Recreatieve voorzieningen van dit hotel bestaan onder andere uit een buitenzwembad.

Good place.

Our experience of one night at the Hotel Comillas was very good. It is an old hotel of almost 30 years, or decorated to look like it, which does not prevent everything from being perfectly clean and tidy, both the bathroom and the room, and the comfort of the bed was perfect. Good value for money and the attention from the staff who assisted us was very good. There is enough free parking and it is just a step away from the center.

One of many hotels

Average hotel which sometimes can meet your needs perfectly. In my case, I didn't even plan to stay in Comillas. However, my feet started bleeding after the fourth day of trail running. I needed some respite altogether with some others from our group. So we stopped in Comillas for a couple of days. I was happy the rooms were equipped with baths instead of shower cabins. That enabled me to partially heel the wounds, put on some tapes and darn tough with 1 size oversize boots and continue the running later to Pendueles. However the hotel other than its price did not really stun. Everything was average. The breakfast, too.

OKAY

Hotel at the entrance to the prairie of the Palacio de Sobrellano, with a very good parking, the normal room and bathroom also, the breakfast very good and well served by a lady, the only thing I did not like was the reception area next to a kind of bar-cafeteria.

Bad experience

Having booked double rooms, they gave us a single, at most they could have put a 135 bed. One of the two beds, if they were separated, was literally attached to the wall. In the other room they had put them together, leaving one side of one of the beds, without a table and almost no space with the wall: horrible! The hotel is very old and needs updating. Shortly after seeing the rooms, we told the hotel staff that it did not match what we wanted and we gave up. The staff at the reception were very unpleasant and unprofessional. They got angry because we were leaving early, shouting at me (Silvio) when I walked out the door and threatening to charge us for the whole week (we only slept one night given the conditions of the rooms). It should be noted that they also wanted to trick us into signing a document stating that we were canceling the rooms in order to charge for the rest of the week. We did NOT cancel, we left because it did NOT correspond to the service we had contracted. Be very careful with these people, the hotel is really bad, the only thing that saves it is the parking. It does not correspond to a 4-star hotel in anything, neither in rooms nor in its equipment (the air conditioning has broken vents and points directly at the beds and face), facilities or reception staff. We ended up putting up and requesting a complaint form.

An excellent welcome!

The hotel is located on the road to San Vincente de la Barquera, a few minutes walk from the center of Comillas and is close to the three main buildings to visit in the village. It has ample free parking. The building is somewhat reminiscent of the Anglo-Norman style. The welcome is really very pleasant and attentive. Our receptionist pampered us with great advice for tours and restaurants. She even got us a seat in a restaurant that was full. The rooms are OK but nothing more. The decoration is in pure Spanish style and leaves plenty of room for dark wood. The soundproofing is almost zero and, as a result, expect to be woken up early and hear the neighbor's toilet flushing! The breakfast is good with lots of diversity, hot and cold, homemade pastries and always of high quality. The hotel also has a restaurant but I haven't tried it. I recommend this hotel for its location, its staff and its good quality/price ratio.
