Centre of Comillas

We stayed 4 nights at this lovely rustic Hosteria 2 minutes walk from the centre of Comillas. Spotlessly clean rooms with excellent shower, there is also free parking nearby. Small terrace with outdoor seating but there are are numerous cafe's, restaurants within 2/3 mins walk.

Pristine

Accommodation very clean shower fab. Location very good but it was difficult to find. Woman of the house very welcoming. Sheets pristine. However the breakfast very disappointing and this was was our usual experience of breakfasts in Cantabria and Asturias....sugary Orange juice and sweet cakes whereas fresh fruit and nice fresh bread with local cheeses would have been a more favourable advert for local produce... please note this.

Small, quiet, inn within walking distance of plaza with breakfast

We arrived early and were told our room would be ready in an hour so we walked down the little hill to have a cool drink and relax. We walked back up the hill and our small, comfy room was ready and waiting for us. Comillas is hopping in the summer and we were certainly not the only peregrinos in town but we slept well as our room was quiet, the bed comfy and the breakfast adequate. Summer rates were considerable but we were pleased both with the privacy and location.

Excellent

Have forgotten the details but the memory is of very good meal. My wife agrees and says that we had lots of fish dishes. The service was excellent and the coffee super. Parking a bit dodgy though. Better to park away and walk there.

A comfortable place to stay near the centre of Comillas.

Although initially hard to find, the hotel is well located in the centre of town, just around the corner from the main square. It is a lovely old building and the room was clean and comfortable.
I had a very early start in the morning and because the hotel door was locked at night I did have to wake up the owner to let me out.
