Perfect Location
We spent four days in the ground floor apartment in this well converted old building full of character. Superb location in the old town literally 30 seconds from Loreto Street where the best restaurants/tapas bars are located. There is a small bakery opposite to buy bread, croissants etc. The apartment was spotless and the kitchen and bathroom were well equipped. There are two bedrooms, one is a mezzanine up a steep set of steps.
Communication with the owner was quick and easy. There was no iron but one was dropped off within an hour once we messaged him. It isn't possible to park outside but we were able to find parking within a ten minute walk. The area is very picturesque and the apartment is handy for restaurants, shops and the harbour.

Great central location, very quiet with a lovely patio
Great central location in the old part of Denia just off the main restaurant street and near the Plaza Constitution, just a few minutes walk to the castle entrance. An easy 5 to 8 minute walk from the bus station and 10 minute walk to the beach.
Nice decor, very clean and cosy, comfortable bed and lovely patio to enjoy.
Be warned as you open the street door you are immediately greeted by a long, very steep set of narrow stairs, then it was further stairs up to my room which was number 4, in fact 34 stairs in total, luckily i didn't have much luggage!
There was limited kitchen utensils, no oven tray, even just a foil tray would have been useful. No proper wine glasses, just these awful plastic goblets that were more like sundae dishes! Oh and the noisiest fridge/freezer ever with broken freezer drawers!
In the main bathroom the toilet seat was broken and no toilet roll holder! No blackout blinds in the bedroom area so wasn't able to sleep past sunrise.
However this is a nice place to stay and lovely host and would probably stay there again if in Denia.

Perfect location
Great location. Denia Castle close to the property. The road was pedestrianised so parking was a little difficult be prepared for a walk.
The street was quaint and had lots of bars and restaurants but not too noisy.
The apartment was well equipped. Beds a bit hard! One of the two showers needed fixing but the owner said he would do that the next day.
You can get breakfast for €5 at a local bar but not until 10:30.
Denia has good shopping and plenty of places to sit for a coffee.
A good 10/15 min walk to a lovely samdy beach. Two chairs and a brolly cost €16.
The street was quaint and had lots of bars and restaurants but not too noisy.

Had to leave. unsafe and dirty
Had to call twice on arrival as there was no check in information provided. door locked and requires a key code. owner claimed he sent them by whats app. not received until after our call from the outside of the property. it was deleted by the owner soon after our conversation. When we finally got into the property the apartment we were directed to, was not the one we booked. It had not been thoroughly cleaned , dirty dishes and glasses in the dishwasher. freezer iced up with food particles inside, bathroom floors were dirty and the sitting room furniture was also unclean. No towels. tea towels dish clothes etc provided. the bedding looked old and worn.
the staircase was extremely difficult ot climb and worse going down. the fire signage was non exsistent and the last check date on the fire extinguisher which was not attached to the wall was 2015. Our visit was 2021.
We called the owner and ask him to meet us so we could show him our complaints, he refused, so we said we wanted a full refund and were not staying in his property. he got angry and said we were lying, told us to leave within half an hour or he would call the police. We left.
we called him again to tell him we were out of the property. he then said he would authorise a full refund via booking.com.
On the way home he deleted all our whatsapp communications with him. fortunately we have screen shots of the most relevant.
we tried to contact booking.com to explain and complain but were unable to talk with a human being. but did leave a message telling them the situation and that we had taken photographs of our observations.
The following day the owner contacted booking.com and told them we were a no show. he refused to give us a refund because of that. after lots of messages with booking.com and finally talking to somebody they agreed that we had been in the apartment and we would get a full refund. this didn't happen and we had to pay for the first night which was over 130 euros. booking,com did give us a twenty five euro credit to use on our next trip with them. Fortunately we were able to transfer this to our card as we will never book through them again. This sad affair took a whole week to resolve and completly spoiled a 70th birthday weekend, leaving us out of pocket and very angry and dissatisfied.

Excellent location in Denias old town
I had a month long stay at Casa Olivera, apartment 1 during February. Check in with Carlos was easy, he speaks very good English and was there to help me with my luggage as it is a lovely old building but without a lift. He explained everything about the apartment and useful information about the area.
The location is excellent as it is a few steps away from Loretto street which is home to many fantastic Spanish restaurants and bars. There is a restaurant for all tastes here and full of charm and character.
Loretto street is only a few steps from Marquis de Campo, the Main Street in denia which leads down to the port,
The apartment was 2 bedrooms, one smaller room with two single beds, set or drawers and a hanging rail. The main bedroom was very large with king size bed, large set of drawers and a separate dressing area with huge amount of hanging space. Next to this was an en-suite bathroom with a good sized shower. The open lounge, dining kitchen was spacious with high ceiling’s and original beams. It contained a large sofa, armchair, TV with Netflix and internet. There was a dining table and 4 chairs. The kitchen had usual fridge freezer, oven, hob,microwave and toaster. There was a small second bathroom which was useful when I had friends staying.
There were a few small issues initially which were resolved swiftly by the owner Jaume who was very helpful and keen to make my stay comfortable.
All in all a great stay in a fantastic location with charm and character and I would recommend.
In my opinion the apartment could have benefitted from some Art work, a rug in the lounge and a Nespresso machine is a must these days.
