A super Spanish stay

Booked pension Juan for two nights, at a brilliant price. First impressions were good, as we entered we were greeted by a lovely lady who was very wecolming. Room was lovely and clean, equipped with our own fridge which were grateful for. Basic but we didn't spend much time in the room, so good for its purpose. The shower was powerful and hot. Location is perfect for the beach and the old town. There's a bus stop a two minute walk away with buses to La Canada (big shopping centre) and Fuengirola etc. Would recommend and stay again.

Due to Covid, could not travel. Owner refused refund

The owner is rude, threatening, and took £155 from me even though i could not travel due to Covid. When asking about rebooking new dates, she asked for far too much ontop of what i already paid. I can get Peurto Banus resort for what she asked of me. I asked for refund. She refused. She kept my money, provided no service, fought with me on WhatsApp how she had every right to steal my money. Be warned. Treating customers like this during a pandemic will surely result in future business struggles. All about ethics. She can say what she wants, but fact remains, she took my money, i got nothing. She is wrong. Period

a great budget-priced, well-located pension. 3plus rather than 4

on the edge of the old town, and 300 metres from the beach, so locations don't get much better.
Yes it is small - shower & toilet with only cold water in the washbasin !
the best photos are misleading because they are taken of a inner area which is full of character but not really useful to sit there. But there's nowhere else to go.
Our room was at the front - shutters cut out noise & light - so a good night's sleep.
First impressions are of a cramped hostel with no facilities, but it's better than that.
But note there are other pensions & hotels very close by - so we'd check out those as well before booking again
No receipts & no explanation of where the extra 4 euro charge came from ...but very reasonably priced so no problem

Great deal

Its very well located in an old neighborhood of town. Close to cafes for breakfast. Very Cosy. The lady that owns the place is very kind. We only spent one day in town so it was a great deal for us. To park was a little bad, far.

Would look elsewhere next time

The owner is very nice. This hotel is in a great location close to the beach and cafes, very clean and the bed was comfortable. However we would not stay here again because it's so cramped: There's no where to lay out your suitcase, no where to spread out toiletries for the bathroom, tiny shower and no natural light in our room. It felt very claustrophobic.
