Wonderfully relaxing, lovely surroundings, wonderful host
We recently stayed at Mas Figueres for a few days as we toured Priorat and we were happy in our choice of accommodation. The hotel itself is a very intriguing building, Spanish-colonial style, full of interesting nooks and crannies inside and out. The grounds are lovely and overlook the Dosterras vineyard of Mas Figueres. (Yes, you can purchase bottles of their wine or others at the hotel but as far as I know they do not offer winery tours on the premises). There are tables and patios under the trees for dining or just simply relaxing, as well as a swimming pool. We stayed in room 2, which has a pleasant, sunny balcony with table and chairs overlooking the grounds. As others have mentioned, the rooms are on the small side, although that is by American not European standards. There is a large armoire in the room as well as a dresser, plus room under the bed for small bags, so there is good storage space. The bathroom is compact but updated and modern. We did not find the shower uncomfortable, as some have suggested, but perhaps a larger person might. There is A/C and good climate control. We found the location of the hotel to be very convenient because Falset, the capital of the Priorat region, is about 5 minutes away by car or within easy walking distance. There are some really good restaurants, shops (try Priorat Natur for local delicacies and food gifts), banks, and gas stations in Falset, so it really has pretty much everything you'd need despite its small town appearance.
One of the things that really makes this hotel, though, is Quima, the owner and host, who is friendly, kind and extremely helpful. For breakfast, Quima cooks hot egg dishes to add to a delicious spread of charcuterie and cheese, fresh bread and fruit, pastries, and freshly squeezed orange juice, plus fresh cafe con leche. Every day, she helped us by making reservations at restaurants and wineries, as well as discussing routes we could take to get there and anything else that might be helpful in planning our outing. [Since some reviewers have noted confusion as to how to get to the hotel, it is on a major road (T-300) but the hotel sign and driveway entrance are not well marked or easy to see. Driving along T-300, to one side of the small Mas Figueres driveway is the rotary. To the other side is a driveway labeled Estacio, which indicates the train station (there is also a good restaurant there). Both of these can be seen at night, so you just have to aim for the small driveway between them. This leads to an unpaved parking lot right off the patio and the main door to the hotel is just beyond.]

Bliss
We had a wonderful couple of nights here last weekend. We came on recommendation from a friend and loved it. Very quiet in the middle of nowhere with stunning views all around in every direction. Easy to walk to the local town Marçà (although there was only one bar open on a Saturday night and that closed at 9pm!) but it is only 30 minutes to walk the other way to Falset where there is more to do, eat and drink. Breakfast was amazing and plentiful and we loved our time here. If you’re thinking of touring in the Priorat region , this would make an excellent base.

Relaxing and excellent
The stay in Mas Figueres was exactly what we expected: a perfect opportunity to take a rest in such a magnificent and interesting environment as El Priorat is.
The house is beautiful, comfortable, clean and well located.
Quima, the owner, is an extremely friendly person, always attentive to any client's needs.
The simple fact of spending a few hours relaxing in the pool, among the vineyards and tasting fruit just picked up is already worth it.
The relation prize quality is very correct.
If you travel to El Priorat, Mas Figueres is a perfect option...even if you don't like wine!
The house is beautiful, comfortable, clean and well located.
Quima, the owner, is an extremely friendly person, always attentive to any client's needs.

Excellent place to relax
Just spent 4 nights here. Quema is the nicest friendliest host you could meet. Her villa is beautiful and quiet. It is perfectly located. The rooms are lovely and the grounds stunning. Unfortunately it was not hot enough to use the pool but would be great on a summers day. The breakfasts are fresh and ample and the lounge area very very comfortable. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Thank you Quema.

Very private and small guest house in the middle of nowhere
This was a charming spot which took a while for our driver to find for us. He even had to ask directions along the way! The rooms are clean and the AC worked fine. We had a relaxing afternoon by the pool which was gorgeous and a nice surprise. It's walkable to a small train station (also in the middle of nowhere) that had a very nice lunch. The hostess provided a nice breakfast each day and was helpful in organizing a taxi to town for dinner 2 nights.
