Camino de Santiago stop in Melide
Hostel at the foot of the road, we stayed on 10/17/23 and everything was great, from the room (spacious and clean and comfortable mattresses and pillows), to the service from Lorena, the person in charge of the check-in.
There is a common area for all guests, I recommend it 100%.

Don't come to this horrible place
The worst albergue I've ever stayed in.
I don't even know where to begin.
We arrived before the official check-in time. I wasn't expecting to get our beds early, but I thought they could at least open the door so we could leave our backpacks inside instead of carrying them around in 38°C heat.
Now that we're finally inside, the room is unbearably hot. There is absolutely no ventilation, and it feels impossible to breathe. Meanwhile, the receptionist is sitting comfortably with a fan just a few centimeters away from her, pointed directly at herself.
I politely asked if there was anything they could do or if the fan could be placed in the dorm after she left. She simply said "no."
I find it incredibly inconsiderate that the staff expect 12 people to sleep in a room well above 30°C with no ventilation at all, while they won't spend a few hours without a fan in the reception area.
This was one of the most uncomfortable and disappointing experiences I've had on the Camino. I would not recommend staying here.

Don't go, avoid this place.
Let's start at the beginning:
Reservation for 2 months, everything perfect, room for 2 with pets, 30€, okay not bad.
We take a walk and arrive at our accommodation.
As the stage is much shorter than usual we arrived “early”, 12 in the morning.
What's our surprise? Until 13:00 the hostel does not open and we cannot access it. Well, the first one on the forehead and we swallowed it, so we decided to wander around town carrying our backpacks and whatnot until they want to open the place.
We arrived around 13:15 and we are greeted, we are told that we have a room with bunk beds, (well, we have not been advised of anything but we do not care) no problem, we want to rest we do not order a main suit or anything like that.
But now comes the best. Grab some popcorn, the movie's good.
Our room, the disabled room, which is located on the main floor just between the laundry and the street door.
Okay, we don't have a problem either, but what's the fat problem we see? The room “for security” does not have a key to lock it, what does this mean? That our belongings are left in an open room at the expense of someone wanting to come in and take something, but not only that, that gives me even, that I take the backpack to Santiago if I feel like it, but that we travel with pets, who stay in the room to rest, (that yes, that they can stay, because if they can not stay we take them but we have previously called the accommodations to make sure) if for whatever, the door opens and the animals escape what do we do? Obviously the access door is always open is a hostel and of course there is no one to control that.
The reception girl tries to help us looking for another accommodation option but of course, IMPOSSIBLE, understands the situation and understands that it is not for the luggage itself, it is for the animals.
Well, it doesn't end there, I'll tell you what our room is like to finish the day if you fancy the experience.
Room with exit to the street (street through which everything happens, from a cyclist to a trailer), nothing happens, room that is right at the exit door to the street, obviously if after lunch you want to rest you will not be able as people forget the education at home and the doors and voices in the common areas are as if you were in a shopping center.
The laundry is behind the room, what does this mean? If you don’t arrive on time or keep an eye on your washer or dryer, it will be beeping systematically every minute warning of its termination.
Not counting those “clueless” users who decide that our luxury suit is a bathroom and enter the door like Pedro by his house finding me in panties trying to rest.
Not counting on that green light that shows an emergency exit that accompanied us all afternoon and all night...
And of course with those coke and water vending machines they will enliven you all night with their peculiar sound.
And what do I mean by all this? The moment I call accommodation for accommodation to ask conditions and ensure the comfort of both my pets and ours, you tell me, this is what I have to offer you, I decide if I want it or not, not that you give me something that you have not informed me about and above all with those conditions, deceiving me.
Obviously this place I will not recommend it to anyone, neither pilgrims nor pilgrims with pets.

Facilty was good but Lorena was OUTSTANDING
I wasn't too sure when I booked my reservation, this was the first time I have ever stayed in a hostel. The place was clean, tidy and had all the facilities you would want. Lorena was amazing, being a stranger to this area, she gave me ideas on Where to go ? What to eat ? What to do ? Any problems that I had, nothing was too small or too trivial for her, I thought she was simply fantastic.

Beautiful place to stay
Amazing place to stay, beautiful spacious room with an amazing shower, we had 2 bed private rooms the rest of the hostel was undergoing renovation which was a a bit of a pain as we had no access to the kitchenette
But the room was devine and beds and bathroom just what a weary walker needed....
