Very nice place and food

We went for snowshoeing in Vallter during sunday morning and then we stopped in this place for lunch. The restaurant is inside a small village called Setcases, very nice ancient and typical mountain village. We ate there even if we didn't have a reservation and the place was full cause of Sunday. We had a 15,80€ menù and was very good. Apetizer, first and main course. The meat was very tender and tasty, service was fast and and the ambience was like a typical mountain place! With the complete menu you can taste different flavours and the food is very very good!

So nice

Was a very nice staying at the Hostel .
Nice people ..the crew were so friendly and helpful .
Nice food and so delicious .
Onion soup :))) very recommended .
And really near from the mountain . Not really hard to get there .
For sure I will come back .

A menu at €15 - only very average

Interesting Menu - had usual specialities from Garrotxa, ham, sausage, boar but cooking was very variable - an overdone omelette, chips (slightly sweet) seemed to have been boiled before being deep-fried - again, overdone. Boar stew was interesting. Butifarra good.
Came with wine/beer/soft drinks included. Desserts were excellent Crema Catalana.
At the price, only fair........ Having said that, it had quite a few customers on an otherwise quiet day.

Authentic Catalan hostal with plenty of locals staying

Authentic Spanish/Catalan hotel with plenty of locals enjoying a weekend break the one night we were there. Good value restaurant - we had dinner and the buffet breakfast. Atmospheric mountain village. Parking is in street and can be a bit tricky.

lovely hotel in centre of a pretty village

This was a very comfortable place to spend the evening after I had spent several days hiking in the mountains.
It was centrally situated in a pretty village full of stone houses and winding streets.
The main dining room / bar had an open wood-burning fire, and I found my room to be very pleasant too.
Tasty evening meal, and a great breakfast, with heaps of bacon and eggs.
