La Barracuda ligt aan het Carihuela-strand van Torremolinos, op 15 minuten rijden van de luchthaven van Málaga. Het biedt een buitenbad, een bar op het dak met uitzicht op zee vanaf het terras en kamers met airconditioning en een balkon.

Good Hotel
This is a lovely well maintained hotel. Had a fabulous view over pool and seafront, with direct access to beach through gate. Good sized pool, with various activities going on. Location is spot on with the Marina just a short walk away.
Only had bed and breakfast which was very tasty.
Spacious room, with fab Aircon. On arrival we had a complimentary bottle of wine, water and pastries which was very welcome
Had a small maintenance issue, which was very quickly resolved
My only minor gripe was no kettle, but you can hire one,which we did, however you have to wash up in the bathroom sink, with no washing up liquid or dishcloth etc provided.
All staff work very hard, everywhere very clean.
3 small lifts, but wasn't a problem, often using it alone, or only waiting a short time for them to become free.

Wonderful hotel. We will be back
This hotel is in a fantastic location. We booked rooms facing pool. We didn’t get sun on balcony as I think sun too high for that but it’s so hot we were glad. We went for breakfast once but so busy and not much left as we were nearer 10,30 when it finished. We ate several times at pool bar. Food was really good. Sun beds were available until after 10am thanks to the staff removing towels . A special mention to Elliot at the pool He is an asset to the hotel. So friendly and welcoming. We were treated like family. Couldn’t do enough for us and other guests. Drinks served to our sun-beds with a great sense of humour. Made our holiday. Thank you Elliot. No kids disco or kids club which is why we not booking next year as a family but will definitely come back as a couples holiday. Lots of Spanish people compared to british but we are in Spain. I think it says how good the hotel is when locals like to holiday here.

LACK OF COMMUNICATION AND COORDINATION OF THE STAFF
My stay was marred by two events that were very unpleasant. The first of them is that I arrived at the hotel after a night of traveling without sleeping, what I wanted was to shower and rest. Throughout the afternoon when I tried to fall asleep and rest, the noise of what seemed like a child with a scooter above my room disturbed my rest. Noise from that scooter for hours, when commenting on it at reception (which they later say that first it is better to comment on it at reception before rushing to make comments on social networks), the response at reception was: that it was impossible for it to be a scooter because they were prohibited, that it was surely someone who was moving something upstairs, I insisted to them that it was a child with a scooter that was coming and going constantly for hours and they insisted again that it was impossible, that it is prohibited. Upon leaving reception, and just at the entrance I see a family with a child and a scooter leaving the Hotel (you can view the cameras from the day 7/26/2026, 8:50 PM of the entrance Hall. Very unpleasant fact and on top of that when you expose it, they make you out to be a liar.
The second incident is that, when I went down at dinner time, I gave my room number at the access control and the gentleman at the entrance told me that I did not have dinner (having booked half board). I told this gentleman that if I did not have dinner included, I would not come to dinner and try to get in "for free." He insisted again that I did not have dinner included and instead of checking and making sure, he sent me to reception to resolve it. Once at reception, they confirmed that I did have dinner and they called him on the phone. To my surprise, they have telephone communication and they make the customer be the one who has to go to reception when the gentleman at control could have solved it with a simple call and avoided causing the well-known inconvenience to the customer. It is a small detail that causes discomfort and annoyance to the customer, being unrelated to them. Instead of receiving an apology, he told me that it was not his fault that I was not on the list, to which I replied that it was certainly not the customer's fault. And that I did have dinner included when he had told me no flatly instead of checking first.
They are two small details that tarnish your stay and that could have been easily resolved.

Family-friendly and pleasant with involvement regarding allergens
It is a family hotel facing the beach, where one must highlight the kindness and good work of the people who work in the restaurant, both in the kitchen and in the dining room, especially Mónica, who with special care made my wife's stay with many allergies much more bearable and just what one wants, not having to worry on vacation. The pool area is also great. There are rooms with a shower, which is also a plus. In general, it gets a good rating.
