Excellent Snorkelling Experience in Vava'u

An amazing location and beautifully designed accommodation. We went on a six hour snorkelling tour run by Vava'u Beachfront Villas! There are not enough stars to award this fantastic tour! It was the best we have been on by far and very professionally and safely run. Nino and Sam our guides for the day, were perfect! They took us to some amazing snorkelling areas, where the water was so clear and coral and fish were beautiful. Snorkelling into Swallow Cave was an absolute highlight for us! As the afternoon sun shone through into the cave it was an unforgettable sight. Lunch was delicious, which we enjoyed on tropical Nuku Island, with white sands and aqua sea and plenty of tropical fish in the waters. We were well looked after by Sam and Nino, throughout the day - plenty of snacks and cold water provided and they ensured our safety in the water at all times. A top class snorkelling trip - we can't recommend them highly enough. If there's only one thing you do on Vava'u, don't miss this.

The Best Year-round Accomodation In Vava'u!

Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere in a beautiful location. It's a bit out of town, but the owners, Petra and Tony, offered to take us along when they were going to the market, or can arrange transport to any location.
The villas are modern and clean, everything was new. Each room has a fridge and kettle; a ceiling fan and mini-split AC to keep you cool. Sit out on a covered deck, enjoying your coffee or tea while looking out over the Blue Highway. The communal kitchen is clean and stocked with every appliance you would find in your own kitchen. We shared meals, and went out to local restaurants, with the owners several times... they are some of the best people we have ever met!
Paddle out into crystal clear water right off their private beach on a paddle board or one of the kayaks available. Go for a snorkel right off the dock, or arrange for a boat trip to several incredible locations... even lunch on a deserted island! These activities are available all year long, there is no "season" in Tonga - get there whenever you can!
The cost? Absolutely worth it! Many places we've stayed in Vava'u were built in the 80's or 90's... and it showed. And we paid more then the Villas!
We have stayed in many different accomodations in Vava'u... nothing has compared to this. Simply the best!

Nice family hotel. Ideal for a week's rest

Considering this is Tonga - this hotel is one of the optimal/best places to stay in Vavau. Other hotels are located in the city (in the port), which is convenient (shops, restaurants in walking distance), but there is no beach at all or on small beaches (like this hotel), but their cost is 2-3 times higher.
The owner, Petra, is very friendly, helps solve any problems. Arranged airport/airport transfers for us, gave us a ride to the city to the store, told us where better to go, what to see.
The hotel (although it looks more like an apartment than a classic hotel) has kayaks, its own pier from which to enter the water comfortably, a barbecue area, a large table on the street veranda (ideal for companies of friends or families)
There is a communal kitchen equipped with everything you need (crockery, appliances, refrigerators). The room also has a large enough fridge, a kettle.
The room is new, with a veranda, comfortable to exercise in the morning.
