Wow. What a beautiful serene getaway in the Catskills. Every single staff member was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and relaxing trip. We came for my husband’s birthday. He received a men’s facial and I received a body clay wrap. The most relaxed and soft skin I ever felt, thank you Carol! We enjoyed the spa- sauna, steam room, jacuzzi. The somatic body movement and yoga classes helped our bodies stay loose and relaxed. We absolutely loved the prix fixe dinner at Bittersweet. A truly talented chef, experimenting with flavors and textures in the context of a rotating seasonal menu. Thank you Hemlock Neversink for a thoughtful and unforgettable stay!

Cool stay but not worth the price

Pros: The staff was AMAZING and the grounds are well kept and beautiful. The spa was accommodating to our traffic delay. Trails easily marked, 24/7 craft studio, Goat hiking, Beautiful and relaxing property. Staff was spread thin but they were doing their best! Tyler and Joe Commando were standouts.
Cons: It just feels better suited for large groups or weekenders. We went Sun- Tuesday and left disappointed. The activity offerings were slim, breakfast needs work, and overall felt that the value was not there. We had to the leave the property early on Tuesday but that was not communicated at the time of booking. When booking, you are told you have access to the full property on check in and check out days.

Not worth the cost of the room.

Very small rooms that are far below what is expected from a $900/per night hotel. Service is below average and the facility is limited service low average quality. Food at the restaurant was ok. Service, poor like the rest of the resort. Air condition was not working (were told that it was too hot outside (maybe they are not aware that this is the reason to have HVAC)). Overall below average experience. They will not see me again.

DO NOT DO THIS - BAD BAD BAD!!!!!!!

For 1,200$ for room and one dinner for 2, although expensive felt worth it for the experience they promised - we did not get any of that. I made the reservation with the hotel - day of - and chose the King Suite with the porch advertised on their site (as opposed to the lesser expenisive suite with out). We never got that although we paid for it. And our room we did get - full of black flies. I booked hours before checking in - not once was I told that all activities for 2 days were booked up, this was revealed at check in. There were public activies we could partake in - like happy hour - which we waited 25 minutes before being served - and when asking for service was treated like I was lost....very strange. Then there was sip n' swim -movie and pool night. Excited for the Hocus Pocus - as it was the day after halloween. It was not Hocus Pocus but Jaws and well, no drinks anywhere. Next day - hot tub is broken, and breakfast included - STALE BAGELS - supermarket yogurt, some granola, oddly capers and scallions and cream cheese -no lox oh and forget berries - just apples and oranges. Better breakfast at Holiday Inn. The trails - were unkept we got lost for an hour. My friend went last year and got the opposite experience - including a beautiful breakfast spread. They clearly stopped caring and just thought overcharging in this day and age was ok. Cheaper and better vacation taking 2 round trip tickets to somewhere. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BOOK. I have complained in text and in email and yet to get a single response. Not to mention the plants all around the pool INFESTED!

Seamless service for my retreat

I hosted a three night retreat here for 11 women. Everything was perfect. I had specific needs for my group which were met without hesitation. My participants all loved the variety of activities, and the food was phenomenal. I definitely put the staff to work and they rose to the occasion and then some. I can't wait to go back again.
