Nice hotel with excellent friendly staff. 10/15 min walk into town centre although bus service to town passes hotel.

Disappointing! Don’t stay here
Disappointing. Stayed 2 nights at Oestergaard as I couldn’t find a hotel closer to the city center. The hotel is old and on the farther end of the city center. When I walked in my room and was faced with a dirty trash can. I thought that I walked in the wrong room as it seemed like someone else was still occupying the room. A bit creepy. I informed the staff about the dirty room and asked for a cleaner room. He blamed the cleaners, but I was given a “suite”. Basically a bigger version of the regular room, but with a sofa and an arm chair. The next day when I returned to my room in the evening, the trash was emptied, but a used q-tip was on the floor. The bathroom sanitary bag wasn’t replaced. At least I was given a clean towels. The used disposal coffee cup that I left in the morning and empty sugar packet was still on the table. I can somewhat live with the above. But the beddings were just thrown on the bed - not too tidy - and one of the pillows left on the floor. Actually that pillow was on the middle of the bed when I left in the morning. I went down to Reception and the same staff (who gave me a dirty room) was there. I told him about my room. I was polite about my complaint. But he blamed it again to the cleaners. No apology. But I told him it’s their hotel. As a hotel guest, I would expect for the hotel staff to care a bit more about their work and have some pride. It seems like the staff of this hotel could care less about the quality of their work. What is presented is what is perceived. I work for a big international company and I will inform my company to remove this hotel from the list of recommended hotels in Herning. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. The WIFI is also bad. Sorry but Oestergaard Hotel you need to do much better!

The room was clean and comfortable and the location was great - across the street from a large shopping centre. The hotel is walking distance from a number of different restaurants or you can dine at the hotel. The included breakfast was delicious with lots of options.

lack of service at Østergaards Hotel, Herning
Just returned after a nice golf tour in the middle of Jutland and where we (10 people) were staying at Østergaards Hotel in Herning with 3 nights - I feel the urge to complain a little. A week before we were leaving I called the hotel and asked if there was a charging option at the hotel. We had to drive three hundred kilometers to get to Herning, so access to electricity to the car was important. The good receptionist explained that shame had over the entire 2 let standers, although only 11 kw but no problem we had enough time.
So far so well. Well arrived at the hotel Sunday afternoon I would immediately check if there was a charger available. I found the two chargers behind the hotel. There was only one car for charging, a Peugeot 3008 hybrid (photo attached). The problem was just that it was blocking one charger and at the same time putting its wire in the other charger's plug - so both charges were completely blocked. Well, a Peugeot hybrid only has a 13 KWh battery, so it could not take a war. During the evening, I looked again at the possibility of charging. Sure if the car was still standing together and it did so Monday morning. I complained to the lonely young lady at the front desk. She did not know who the car belonged to, but she should write a note to the management.
To make a long story short – it stood in the same place every day and evening with the same elegant blocking of the two chargers. At the time of departure and billing, I told the receptionist about the slightly unfortunate blocking of the hotel’s stands and showed him the photo of the sinner – yes. It's our director, he leaves there every day. It is not a problem, you can just drive over in Herning Storcenter, which is located a few hundred meters from here, there are plenty of let stands, it does most of our guests.
When I think of the fact that we have spent 3 nights in a room of less than 11 m2 (large) with a minimal bathroom with fine old brown Høganæs Klinker, then it might not be just Østergaards Hotel in Herning that will be our first choice the next time we go on a trip in the Jyske.
