Very appealing hotel
Very nice, modern hotel. Highly recommended. Large modern rooms, great bathroom, tasteful decor.
Restaurant with very good, high-quality cuisine. Good breakfast.
Indoor pool brand new, quite large. Spa area very nice. Grounds and location in the small town of Basedow are beautiful. (including a castle near the hotel)
Service friendly. You can rent bicycles, in good technical condition. Price currently 6 euros/day for a normal bicycle. There are also e-bikes.
Restaurant with very good, high-quality cuisine. Good breakfast.

......an insanely great stay in a dreamlike Mood.....was not so expected !!!!
The village of Basedow is not really in a region where the bear taps. We booked the stay to enjoy a break away from it. We took the bikes with us because the region of the Mecklenburg Lake District is very suitable for this.
Location:
We have never experienced such a beautiful village with great renovated houses and such great landscaped paths on our short trips. You drive into nothing and you get into a little historical world. A castle, a church, a great park and nice restaurants in a super condition. The houses of the village look so great and you can always roam the area and see something new.
Hotel:
The pictures of the hotel's own website as well as all other discoverable pictures speak for the hotel. It is not exaggerated, as everything seems very great and especially welcoming.
The check-in was unproblematic and absolutely friendly, the highlight was the question about the bikes and the reference to a bicycle storage. We were already impressed at the reception and it continued on the booked room.
Rooms:
Just look at the pictures. Everything clean, very tastefully decorated. The room had everything your heart desires and on the ground floor with terrace it was just awesome.
The beds were of a very high quality standard and we slept like the angels. This is not an exaggeration.
The patio doors are completely functionally constructed, as one half could be opened to the terrace and the other side had a fixed fly screen for ventilation.
The bathroom very nice and everything available and also the technology has moved in. Hammer.........
Personnel:
Absolutely friendly and accommodating, all wishes were fulfilled and also good advice for the stay. Very good everything.....even in the breakfast room.
Breakfast:
Everything available, very appealing and a great selection. You can choose between breakfast inside or on the terrace. Just thumbs up....
Conclusion:
Basedow and the Farmer Hotel is the combination for relaxation. If the wellness area is still in operation, this hotel is always considered.

Nice hotel with good restaurant in rural setting in a historic place
A very well maintained hotel with very friendly, helpful staff. Very nice large indoor pool (water could be warmer).
The rooms are of course different depending on the price category, but as far as known all nicely decorated.
The bed was extraordinarily good.
All wishes were met with great kindness and very quickly in all areas.
The restaurant offers a wide variety of food, which - if tested - is very good in taste. The price level is absolutely reasonable, the atmosphere pleasant.
The bar should be open longer than 22:00 and daily.
The sauna area cannot be judged due to non-use.
The historic town of Basedow with its castle is worth a visit alone, a trip to the Müritz (30 minutes by car) is well possible.
The rooms are of course different depending on the price category, but as far as known all nicely decorated.

Nice, modern hotel with great restaurant – but weaknesses in Service
The hotel is modern, very clean and has a really nice Mood. Especially the bar with fireplace provides a cosy atmosphere and invites you to linger.
Unfortunately, we were disappointed in the topic of wellness. According to Booking.com and even using an in-room map, the spa should be open as early as September 2025 – but that wasn’t the case on site. A genuine apology from the Service was not forthcoming, instead we were told that Booking.com was to blame. I thought that was a shame.
Unfortunately, the internet access was also very limited. After my advice at the reception, I was not exactly treated kindly here either – that unfortunately does not fit the otherwise high-quality impression of the house.
But I would like to highlight the restaurant on a positive note: The food was really excellent, and the service was very friendly and entertaining. Here you immediately felt comfortable!
The breakfast buffet was plentiful and everyone was there. However, there is not much choice here when it comes to vegan diets.
Unfortunately, we were disappointed in the topic of wellness.
