Dit charmante en gezellige hotel in de buurt van Füssen ligt op het idyllische platteland langs de oevers van de Hopfensee en biedt een prachtig uitzicht op de Allgäuer Alpen.

Our only complaint would be the lack of a coffeemaker in the room, Everything else, the breakfast, the view, the staff, the room itself, fantastic, we'll definitely be back next time.

Price-performance ratio not justified
We were at the Hotel Geiger in Hopfen am See from 07/24 to 07/26. A positive highlight is the beautiful view of the mountain panorama.
Unfortunately, that is where the positive impression ends. Our room, described as a "comfort room in L-shape," was practically divided in two and connected by an archway. In principle, that would be fine, but there was no window in the sleeping area, which made the stay significantly more unpleasant.
The reception seemed distant and not very friendly, so we did not really feel welcome. Also at breakfast, one had the impression that the service lacked motivation.
Overall, the price-performance ratio is not right for us, as the quality offered does not justify the price.

Very nice lakeside property
We recently spent a couple of nights at Hotel Geiger at Hopfansee just north of Fussen and had a lovely stay. The property is right on the lake and rooms have lovely views of the lake and mountains in the distance.
Booking was made through booking.com. Reservation confirmation was received immediately. Check-in was quick and simple. Payment proceeded upon check-out. They have luggage storage if arriving early and free but limited parking at the hotel. There is a restaurant at the hotel, our room included breakfast which was very good on both mornings of our stay. There are other lakeside restaurants, bakery and walking path along the lake which you can enjoy as well.
Our room was spacious including sofa, extra chair, good size work desk, TV, balcony facing the lake with a couple of outdoor seats. Plenty of closet and extra space for luggage and to move around. Room included fridge, large bathroom, nice shower and firm but comfortable beds. No in room safe nor kettle for coffee & tea. Wifi only worked in the the front of our room near the door and bathroom. Signal wasn't strong enough for stable service in the back near the balcony.
On the whole, we very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Geiger and would gladly consider staying here again next time we are in the Fussen area.

The website promises more than it actually looks. We promised ourselves more of this hotel.
Yes, the view of the Hopfensee is great.
Our rooms were modern in the living and sleeping area. There was no mentioned minibar as such, the fridge was empty.
The bathroom, (in room 22), is very much in need of renovation. There is mold on the ceiling above the bathtub, the radiator in this area is heavily rusted and bad to look at. Mold marks also on the window frame. A shower curtain is no longer contemporary. Even the floor tiles would need a basic cleaning. The fan doesn't work either, but luckily there was a window.
The website should be revised urgently. We didn't find anything, e.g. the restaurant is closed on Thursday. Also mentioned here is a possibility for coffee and cake in the afternoon, which unfortunately was not possible. The opening hours of the restaurant have been changed to 5:30 p.m.
Breakfast was adequate, though not too sumptuous.
Worth mentioning is the evening meal in the restaurant. However, it would be desirable if the annex of the conservatory could be heated better. Especially at an outside temperature of about 8 degrees minus, the window fronts radiate the cold enormously, so that the plates get cold very quickly. Other restaurants operate here with electric radiant heaters.
The complaint about the non-100% functioning of a radiator in the living area was only checked after 3 requests and unfortunately a venting did not bring the hoped-for success. With similar rooms of our fellow travelers there was no problem and it was chubby warm there. This also applies to a non-functioning motion detector in the hallway area to the individual rooms.
We will request a partial refund of the price here.
All in all, we would not book this hotel again for this price, especially in the low season.

Treated really badly!!!!
There are no words to describe the feeling of malaise to be in such a beautiful place and find yourself sleeping in the only room with parking view and with all the complications (not being able to change except with the curtains closed, for the comings and goings of people, with cars that obviously come and go repeatedly) and the worst thing you get answered that I paid for that!!!! So what do you advertise?? I attach the photos with where it is deduced that the standard room has a regular window or even the balcony,
I think this accommodation was made on purpose as Italians .. yet I paid 418 euros for two nights...
Not to mention the two breakfast ladies who were just giggling behind our backs
