A Charming Stay in the Heart of Munich

I spent four nights here. This hotel is perfect for both city sightseeing and business stays. It’s located in a quiet pedestrian street right near Munich’s main station, on a walking distance of Karlsplatz (Stachus) and the city centre. U- and S-bahn access right outside makes it super convenient to get around. My room was comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. The beds were especially cosy and ensured a great night’s sleep. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious with a good buffet spread.

We traveled with a 5 years old boy and the staff prepared a little bed for him in the room. This was an amazing detail and he felt great having his own bed. Super clean and perfect location for tourist attractions.

Overall, our stay was okay, but there are a few things future guests should be aware of. If possible, be careful when choosing your room. Ours did not have air conditioning, and while the hotel provided a fan, the room was still quite warm. We ended up opening the window to cool it down, but because the hotel is so close to the train station, it was extremely noisy throughout the night, making it difficult to sleep.
When we arrived, the staff was polite and professional, but they weren't particularly welcoming or warm. While they addressed our needs, the overall customer service experience felt somewhat impersonal.
The location is convenient if you're traveling by train, but if you're a light sleeper or staying during warmer weather, I'd recommend confirming that your room has air conditioning or requesting a quieter room away from the train side of the property.

My room was booked at 9 pm local time when I arrived at the airport with check in instructions that explicitely stated checkin needed to occur by midnight. When I arrived at the hotel I was told by the hotelier that because i had not arrived by 6 pm (the room was booked at 9 pm) that he gave my room away and therefore the only way to have a room was to pay an extra 30 euros for it. Regardless of my protest I was presented a take it or leave it ultimatum.
Further to this the bar/restaurant was closed when the booking and the litterature in the room stated it was to be open.
The morning of check out I asked for a late check out because of when my flight left, I was promptly told no, they needed to clean the room at check out time.
This property does not honor its agreements nor respects its guests. Avoid if possible.

Good and clean hotel just nearby central train station. Many shops and restaurants around this hotel. But, a tram stop just aside it, tram noise would be heard.
