Beautiful water castle from the 16th century. Jh.

A really nice water castle from the 16th century. It is worth a visit in the 19th century.
Tip:
1) an extensive walk in the adjacent forest
2) a dinner in the restaurant “Mahl & Meute” in the castle (is an excellent steakhouse, unfortunately not quite cheap)
3) every 1. Weekend in December there is an enchanting Christmas market around the castle
4) in the chapel of the castle you can get married beautifully

Idyllic

What a beautiful castle and an idyllic setting! Very impressive to see and a nice location for photos! Also lots of information signs everywhere! What we found unfortunate was that everything was only written down in German. An English-language addition would be even more fun.

Beautiful

Beautiful castle/castle that you can walk around beautifully. You can't really enter the castle itself, but there is a beautiful park behind it and a nice little neighborhood around it with excellent restaurants. Nice to visit. Parking is free. Also plenty of cycling routes

Beautiful venue for weddings

Our daughter had her wedding here and it was absolutely beautiful place to have the seremony and party. The rooms were ok, not spectacular but clean and spacious. The food was really good and the staff were really professional and smiling all the time. A great venue for weddings!

Adventsmarkt at Schloss Raesfeld

We really enjoyed the Christmas market here as it is a showcase for craftworkers and their crafts.
It is an advent market and very festive.
A lot of the stall holders are actually working on their crafts so it is possible to see how they make the various items.
For example a lacemaker, a blacksmith and a carpenter.
It is also possible to taste local produce such as cheese and to drink the obligatory gluewein.
All in all this is a fabulous castle and not to be missed at night for this market.
