Top-notch low cost hotel!

Probably the best value for money I have ever experienced when it comes to hotels. Impressive price value relationship. We had a late night arrival to this hotel and everything went smooth. Front desk staff was courteous and extremely service oriented, I even got an IPA to calm down after en full day of Autobahn-navigation, and was fortunate to get a space in the secure parking lot. Family room was perfect - no-nonsense, but clean and functional. Breakfast was excellent, can highly recommend to opt for this when staying here! What a great low-cost hotel - I completely get why this hotel consistently get top-ratings.

The hotel itself is beautiful — modern, stylish, and surprisingly quiet even though my room was right next to the lift. The communal areas are bright and inviting. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the quality of the space. On arrival the staff seemed moody and struggled with English, and I couldn’t pay for parking or even the soup I ordered (which was terrible). Checkout the next morning was chaotic: the receptionist’s laptop died, she was serving coffee while guests queued, and her attitude was quite rude and confrontational. It took far too long to pay and check out, which really overshadowed an otherwise lovely stay.

Great hotel, nice and clean. Parking a big
fuss, never any space left in the hotel car park (which I paid full price for every day) on a night, have to park in the car park out the back which is free. But doesn’t open till 9:30am so have to get someone to unlock the gate or you are stuck!

A bit disappointed

We booked this hotel after reading all the good reviews.
Maybe my expectations were a bit to high because of this.
The location is good, if you arrive by train I suppose, but staying in the railway station area is definitely not the best, the area is run down, like often near a railway station.
On the other hand, the hotel is new and the rooms are better than most Ibis rooms. The room is a bit bigger than average, the windows open and the bathroom is good.
The towels were thinner though and the plastic lined sheet on top of the matras topper is very annoying/sweaty.
The welcome drink was a limited choice (we are gold members), which surprised us, we ended up ordering a drought beer, which we would not have chosen and didn't like.
Breakfast was extremely limited in comparison to most Ibis hotels.
